Sorry got it wrong Not Josh Pickering wish it was it's actually Josh McDonald
-
Well it seems a known team now Tero Arnio Simon Lambert Josh Pickering Have to be honest I like the first four but not to sure on the team as a whole compared with Sheffield and Somerset. Our top four Worrall Arnio Campton Wilson-Dean Sheffield King Proctor Howarth Andersen Somerset Harris Schlien Covatti Kurtz Scunny Auty Garrity Allen Neilsen That's just the teams that's complete I think we are a long way off there level. I was surprised the team leaked actually added up to 38 points.
-
I get that but last season Rene Nickoli Ty were all known heat leaders that could improve Rasmus was the one who improved. Remember our team average hardly changed in 2018. Mason Bradley Tero and Simon (If named) are not heat leaders.
-
If tth at is the seven riders that Workington are naming it could be a long long season. Put that team up against Sheffield or Somerset who are complete and there not in the same league. Only Worrall there would get heat wins away from home consistently. Just a comment as I am just still delighted we still have speedway to go and watch

Wow what a great looking team. Brilliant team building. If you can keep Proctor happy in the pits this team will take some stopping.
-
Some good teams being named Noticed other clubs taking food use of the 2.5% reduction in average for former national league riders. We only got Kyle so far and we can not reduce his 2 point average. How Sheffield and Somerset got there teams under 38 point limit looks great team building.

Glasgow say 2019 could be the last year they could take £100,000 losses. We need to see which riders they have signed but my guess will be new riders all on top money again with massive bonus payments again all cherry picked from other clubs by dangling massive signing fees again. That's the only reason why I don't want Glasgow to win anything at all. They are great fans but I'm not into this fantasy speedway team building.

I have a feeling Barker might be on tbe radar he gets used as a guest plenty.
-
I'm not sorry to see Ty go. The stories of the fall outs and negativity from him at times this season are all well known. All the best Steady looking after him.
-
I just don't get where dropping the team average reduces costs. All it does is change the rider m market, the riders know clubs are after them due to their average and they simply ask for more money as they know they are wanted. Imagine being in Kyle's position a two point rider that just about every club will try and sign virtually name his price. All it does is weaken teams on track so we will not be seeing the likes of Cooke Wells etc in that league which is a shame. If Workington run I personally don't care what the team is as long as we have a team. Fixtures or lack of are a worry for regular speedway but for us that's better than nothing. Just hard to promote.

Scunthorpe v Workington. Knockout Cup Final 1st Leg

Think Workington will be struggling to find a rider for this meeting unless Howarth is up for it. Only Lakeside running with a full team now. Guests at a premium -

Fans on here certainly do not know what's been going on behind the scenes this season going by what I'm reading. It all seems good because of results but there is more than results to make the club a happy enjoyable place. It will all come out at some point and I only posted this instance of Ty Proctors behaviour because I thought it was disgraceful last night. The team have done fantastic on track this year but the things that have happened and been said by certain riders this season it's unbelievable just how the team have achieved what they have it really is. Oh and the quote from George English is 100% about Workington. -

I'm 100% behind this team and I agree we should be right behind them especially with the team doing so well this year but when things like this DO happen it needs noted. Yes Ty did help the other riders last night yes Ty did wave to the crowd yes Ty did try in his last three rides but only after a meeting after his first ride to sort issues out. The FACT is and this came right from the pits is that our captain refused to be captain last night for reasons I'd rather not put on hear. Ty refused to sign on as captain and then did not bother to set his bike up apart from putting his tyre on and warming his bike up. He never moved from his seat in the pits and on the parade lap pulled straight into the pits without doing a lap and back to his seat there was certainly no waving to the fans at this point. He sat there until his first race. He gated then pulled up in his first ride after half a lap. Then pulling into the pits did no work on his bike at all. Because there was nothing wrong with his bike. He then had a bust up with his team manager in the pits a full on shouting and pointing affair during the track grading after heat four. There was then a meeting with shouting and talking in the office with Tony and Steve (don't think Laura was there last night) and after that Ty went and then set his bike up and his attitude changed into him now helping others and him trying to win races. Not sure what changed his attitude he maybe just thought about his actions being totally wrong or maybe something was said to him to change it. Luckily this behaviour did not continue for the whole meeting or we maybe would not be celebrating getting into a final. I know he can be a miserable man but this crossed the line for me because this effected his team mate's, the promotion and the fans and I've never heard of a rider do such a thing ever before at a meeting. I've now heard this exact same thing from people that were there last night and seen and heard what went on. -

Ty was captain last night and was captain tonight until he refused to be captain tonight. And his first ride was not his bike giving in either !!!! Like I say disgusting attitude -

If it's true what I heard about Ty Proctor tonight it's disgusting. I don't care what the reason is for him to take that attitude and throw every single toy from his pram. Who else noticed he was not the captain tonight at the coin toss. Disgusting attitude -

I've been told Dan has a possible broken left leg and possible broken right arm. He was apparently conscious throughout until given drugs by Doctor to move him from the track into the Ambulance. Hope he heals fast and well. That was an big crash that. -

Not looking good trying to find a guest at this late stage -
I have hardly missed a meeting since they reformed in 2000. But after the fixture gaps the last two seasons being bad enough this year has made me actually loose the love of speedway. Three home meetings we have had in two month and now another three weeks to wait. I'm just about giving up on the sport now.
-
I fear Workington will not get through this season. A great start to the season a couple of away wins team looking good now smashed because riders are not getting paint and their performances have reflected this especially Klindt. No home meetings for weeks due to different reasons and not one would have been rained off if they had ran.
-
I feel for the new riders. Dan, Kyle, Mason and Ty will all improve there averages this season without a doubt in my opinion. Trouble is Klindt Rene and Rasmus won't keep their starting average all three are poor signings. I doubt there was much else available but to start by getting Dan and Kyle and getting Mason at reserve looked so promising but that has been ruined by signing riders who have no improvement in them after trying for years at this level. Not liking the reports of Klint being just a gater or does nothing. As a promotion that's the last type of rider you want in your team. Rene beats himself by complaining of everything bar himself.
-
Whose the last two then ? i would love one to be Jorgensen because I truly believe he would improve his average by 2 points next season. He did have poor meetings but he gave 100% effort every heat. just read Klints piece in the Speedway star saying the rider if signed will be number 1 and he has joked that he will have the number 1 race jacket within a month so obviously the rider has a higher average the 7.51.
-
Mason will do ok. He just needs consistency Klint is another story he will never achieve that average. Never. Very poor signing I know there are not that many riders available but that's a shocker on that average.

Can we let the ticket debate drop now and look forward to 2018 It's like a broken record player on here
