  1. Isn't there an agreement with Discovery+/Eurosport that there has to be a minimum of seven clubs in the Premiership, otherwise they are in breach of contact, or have I imagine it? Genuine question.
  2. All any of us can guess what the situation is, because we simply don't know. This slagging off of King's Lynn, or should I say Keith Chapman, doesn't do the club any good, if someone is prepared to buy the club from him. Potential sponsors that a new promotion would require, would have been reading all this old clap trap, and become uninterested, and don't think companies don't look at these sites if they are wanting to sponsorship out there, because they do. Okay, I've opened the door so you can start slagging me off, which will just confirm what I've said about sponsors.
  3. That would be unfair on Sheffield, the club the Witches are chasing for the final play-off spot.
  4. Thank you very much, I had no idea it had already been staged. Pleased to see it got so much publicity...NOT!!
  5. That's almost a quarter of the field dropped out, and it's not midday yet.
  6. The meeting is an absolute joke, and I don't mean to insult the riders that are competing. It's going out on Discovery+/Eurosport for the world to see, and will make us a bigger laughing stock than we already are. I would image admission and programme prices have been increased, and even if I lived in Manchester, I wouldn't bother to attend this one. Just my opinion though, and I'm sure many will disagree.
  7. Although I'm not an Ipswich fan, I have to admit that Doyle and Sayfutdinov are on a different planet to any other rider in the UK. Simply outstanding.
  8. Having had a spell at Foxhole, he should have a bit of knowledge of the place, where he would be likely to score more than TJ. It depends which Ben Barker turns up.
  9. Yes, the track shop has the Speedway Star.
  10. How much more bad luck can King's Lynn have this year. Get well soon Thomas, and fingers crossed that surgery isn't required.
  11. I've contacted Jim McGregor, and asked him if he can get the referee concerned, to upload it onto the SCB site.
  12. Thoroughly enjoyed last nights meeting, with plenty of passing. What a terrible decision by referee Simon Humphrey-Kent, when Drew Kemp took a spectacular tumble in Heat 4, where the remaining riders expected the red lights to come on, none more so than Nicolai Klindt, who slowed right down, but no lights came on. That could possibly have cost a race win for Klindt, which would have least given King's Lynn, a draw and the chance of victory in the Super heat. But that apart, good racing, and congratulations to both team teams, on good performances from both sides.
  13. I'm just hoping that all the people who have fallen out of love with King's Lynn Speedway, will come along and help save the club from closure, if only out of respect for the people you used to stand/sit with, who you probably chatted or had a pint with, who still depend on it as there night out. As a club, they've suffered bad times, which is currently the case, and good times when they were in a lower league. What ever has happened before, nobody can change, but we can all help by offering our support whilst the club sorts its financial and managerial problems out, of which they will with our help and support, so we can move forwards again. It's obvious that a lot of you don't like Keith Chapman, and of course, that is your right, but if he hadn't bought the stadium in the first place, nobody would have enjoyed those wonderful years of the past, under his leadership, of which he now wants rid of. He's been quite open and said he wants to sell the speedway side of his business, and it's such a shame that Alex Brady had to leave suddenly for the reasons he gave, because I thought he was the right man to get the club out of the doldrums in seasons to come. He's publicly said that he would like to one day return, and who knows, that day could be tomorrow, or it could be two years time, only he knows that. Buster is obviously talking to people and sponsors behind the scenes, but he's never going to get people interested in purchasing the speedway business, unless more people return to the terraces. Those of you who constantly express your opinions on social media, on the quality of riders that are in the team, and bear in mind, nobody deliberately rides badly, as they're not earning their wages. Everybody in whatever form of life has there own level of ability, and that's how human life revolves. You complain about certain riders that have been signed, of which you have got that right to do, I'm no different. But just take a look at other clubs, and I don't just mean Peterborough, they are built in a similar fashion to that of King's Lynn. Ipswich are one club in such a case, that are complaining about Danny King, Erik Riss, Joe Thompson, before he was replaced by his brother, but you don't read of their supporters walking away from their club. Many of you say you no longer attend speedway meetings at the Adrian Flux Arena, but you must still like the sport, and have an interest in what's happening at/with King's Lynn Speedway club, or you wouldn't waste your time looking and writing on these forums in the first place. So please, help to keep King's Lynn Speedway alive, and the sport alive in Norfolk, in all probability, the county were the majority of you live, and return to the terraces for the last few meetings of the season, which will hopefully encourage someone, or a consortium plus maybe extra sponsors, to purchase the club from Keith Chapman, and see if they can put right what you don't like. Only you can do that now, so please give it one more shot, in an attempt to keep speedway alive in Norfolk
  14. Certainly agree with those comments, there were some terrible decisions made by the referee, he needs reassessing.
  15. In defence of Laguta, he's never ridden British tracks before, and yes, it looks as though he doesn't like tracks like Leicester, and I'm sure Wolverhampton and Ipswich will be the same, but at least give the guy a chance, he'll hopefully learn from his first visits, and improve the next time. He's not an unbeaten World Champion by luck. I agree that as things stand, Sayfutdinov is a far better rider, but he does have experience of British tracks, albeit limited All I'm saying is give the King's Lynn rider a chance, rather than judging him on one particular meeting.
  16. If that's true, why haven't the club announced it?
  17. Surely this topic has run it's course now folks. I hope Artem Laguta remains with us, but of course I fear he won't, as I would imagine he must be expensive. Whether you like or dislike Keith Chapman, he's trying to find a way of keeping our club running beyond this season, and we should be supporting him in those efforts, not slagging him off all the time for what he may, or may not have been doing to our liking in the past, and even now. It's obvious that he's buying time whilst he can find a buyer for the speedway club instead of taking the easy way out, and withdrawing us from the league. So surely he deserves the support of all true King's Lynn fans to encourage him, whilst the search continues. It's a terrible shame that Alex had to leave due to his personal situation at the moment, even though his departure was ill timed, but we can't change what has happened, we can only encourage what might happen going forward. 'UP THE STARS'
  18. Is the meeting this Thursday going ahead as planned please, now the club don't have a promoter?
  19. Having attended this meeting yesterday, it knocked spots off anything I've seen in the past few years at either Championship or Premiership level. The racing was simply top draw, with not a single poor heat amongst fifteen. Dayle Wood of Edinburgh is certainly one for the future, and although only scoring three points, William Richardson for the home side looks raw, but the makings are there. I've seen a few National Development League meeting this year, and in my opinion, it's on a different planet to the other two leagues with it's sheer entertainment. Thank you to both clubs, brilliant.
  20. If Chris Louis has said that about a fellow promoter, no matter who he/she is, he needs to be severely reprimanded by the SCB/BSPL in public, and have his promoting licence taken away. That is way out of order, and he should know better.
