19.9.2.2 is unchanged for 2015.

The third name on the Buxton Team sheet for 2015 is one of the National League’s hottest three pointers, Paul Bowen. Bowen also affectionately known as the ‘pie-man’ due to his day job, only began riding speedway 10 months ago and made an instant impact when he made a few appearances towards the end of last season. He says he was delighted to be approached to join the Hitmen ‘Ever since Ryan (Blacklock) introduced me to Jayne (Moss) last year it’s been a fantastic experience and I can’t wait to do my first full season with Buxton. Everyone tells me Hi-Edge is a hard track to ride but I really like it. The Crowd have been superb as well and even though it may not be one of bigger clubs I would certainly say it’s the friendliest, quality over quantity for me for sure. This year I will be a lot stronger as I only rode a speedway bike for the first time in February and it’s been a massive learning curve’ The likeable Lancastrian added that he aims to be better prepared for the season to come ‘I’ve a lot more equipment now and am ready for the season ahead. I would like to thank my sponsors Trucks 2 go and Baler services Limited for their help this year. As well as everyone at Northside Speedway in assisting my rapid progression, but my biggest thank you goes to Karl 'Geordie' Armstrong who took me under his wing and as gave so much time and advice to me I can't thank him enough!’ On a final note he promised the Hi-Edge faithful a little bonus in return for a favour ‘I hope to see you all down there soon and I will keep up my promise and bring a few pies down, speaking of which please give Bowen pies a like on Facebook. Here’s to a great season, Hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year’ Bowen joins Tony Atkin and Adam Extance as the confirmed Hitmen for 2015 and another announcement is due next week as progress towards building a competitive septet for next season continues.

Its a welcome back to the popular Tony Atkin - see www.buxtonhitmen.co for details

The number 8 doesn't have to be at all the meetings they are named in a teams declaration and are available for anyone to use if they are short of a reserve. It has replaced 'the emergency riders listing' which never really worked and had very few if any riders on it!!!
-
Usually second week in September so would expect it to be around 13th Sept.
-
If the rules change to allow Bowen to ride NL his average will be the greater of his converted PL average or his last NL average.
-
Rye House must be privy to the new rules then

Had quite a bit of rain this morning but forecast is ok for Sunday so fingers crossed. Any problems will post on here in the morning.

Today sees Buxton take on Coventry in their penultimate home meeting of the season. This is the fourth time that the two teams have met this year with the Hitmen looking to improve on their past results.
-
The meeting is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Sunday 31st).
-
Its r/r for Stefan as he is not eligible for a guest facility
-
It's off now
-
Its all systems go for this afternoon's meeting at Hi-Edge. Kent will be looking to bounce back from last nights defeat at Stoke to take the league points in their aim for a play off spot. Buxton though will need everyone to be on form today as skipper Carr sits this out due to injury with rider replacement the only option. Reg Fearman will be in attendance with copies of his book 'Both sides of the Fence' for sale.
-
If that was the case Mason and Lambert would have been ineligible for the R/R rides. It is the rider directly above in average and any below that can take R/R.
-
Interesting how Chessell was permitted to ride in the first place. Maybe when the SCB get the meeting results his score will be deducted or I along with Stoke have missed a rule change and you can have a guest for anyone now.
-
The medics have a duty of care to the patient (the rider) and no one else. In this day and age the care they give has to be accountable both for their own sakes and the riders. Don't think many will begrudge a rider the care he needs even if that does mean a meeting is abandoned.
-
That's my point exactly its all down to opinion whether it be a rider, official or supporter. It doesn't mean that someone's opinion is fact that is an entirely different matter. I could give plenty of examples about other tracks but have other things to do. Incidentally although comments were attributed this year to Kevin Jolly regarding Mildenhalls' visit when challenged by Richard Moss he denied them and said that he didn't have a problem with the track.
-
Well Buxton have been to Mildenhall on more than one occasion where bits of metal and large stones have been picked up by the riders and the team manager whilst walking the track - not a fan issue but definitely a rider one!!
-
Love to know who your source is as they obviously haven't got a clue what goes on at Buxton. As for the track being dangerous that is a very strong word to use and unless you can back it up with real evidence (not opinion) then I suggest you and others choose your wording more carefully. Not once have we had a report to the referee and the SCB about Buxton being 'dangerous' and I am fed up with those who say it is. As for stating that the track was deliberately 'dangerous' to repay Kent I can quite categorically tell you that that is not true and suggest that your source and yourself gets their facts right before putting them in the public domain. It is of course your choice where to spend your money but we do the best we can with the resources we have available. Some tracks are better than others and most vary over the season. I have been to plenty in my time as a speedway supporter and or official that aren't perfect - that is not specific to Buxton.
