  1. We are going Fly on Friday from Luton and then back on Sunday and off to Mildenhall.
  2. I would expect that you would need to pass the course/test before a licence will be issued. Scatygirl if you want to ring them the number is 01788 565603.
  3. Scatygirl - you need to apply to the Speedway Control Bureau, ACU House, Wood Street, Rugby, CV21 2YX. The new regulations do state that you can have a 500 licence at 14 but you must complete a competency test or an assessment course if you haven't already done one. As I understand it if you are already licensed for a 500 then you will continue to be so regardless of age.
  4. Would just like to point out that this has not come about 4 weeks before the start of the season. We received official notification in December and it was certainly talked about prior to that. It may not seem ideal for some but there are a lot of concerns from various people from officials to medics regarding the youngsters on 500's.
  5. Thanks to Queen Bee and Stroud Baz. Hope to be there depending on fixtures.
  6. Bryn - don't think James suffered any serious injuries as he remained at the meeting but didn't ride again. Sam had to go to hospital with a suspected broken ankle/leg. Vince said he would let us know how they got on.
  7. The KOC Final for the Academy League is indeed at Buxton on Sunday after the meeting against GB U18s.
  8. Martin - please pass on our best wishes to Adam. Hope he is up and about soon. Jayne & Richard Moss
  9. Well done to you both. Are you trying it out on Sunday?
  10. Good Luck to the juniors riding in the demonstration races at Cardiff from Jayne, Richard and everyone at Buxton Speedway.
  11. Can anyone give me the details for the Lonigo website Thanks
  12. Thanks Neil - Yes we do Any ideas how far it is from the airport then?
  13. Laurence - do you know what time the meeting starts and which is the nearest airport?
  14. Sorry Shazzy the point I was trying to make was that you can have a doctor or paramedic here. To add to whoever said that there was just one paramedic at Prague, there was obviously an ambulance and crew as well. Some may argue they should have been on the track but as happens here in the UK the medical staff are not always on track, some referee will insist on this and others won't.
  15. Marvellous - that makes sense....... NOT!! How can you run a GP like that?? AFAIK for EL meetings you must have two qualified first aiders at each end, an ambulance and a doctor. Obviously there is often more cover than this For all meetings in the UK you are required to have one medical officer (paramedic/doctor), one ambulance, one driver, one attendant and two first aiders.
  16. He was known as 'Kermit' at B'ham and was a favourite with the Brummies fans. A sad day when he was killed, remember his wife and daughter visiting Perry Barr afterwards. Never heard him called 'Demon' though.
  17. I think that we've taken the easy option and booked thru travel plus. Thought the tickets were quite expensive at £46 tho
