Henning does want to ride in the NL but he hasnt got a British Passport yet. He is resident here but as a EU citizen has all the rights to live and work here anyway. Last I heard he was still looking into his options but they are quite costly.
-
Think that is patriality rights. As far as I know anyone with a British passport can ride so guess that would apply to anyone who is entitled to dual nationality.
-
No its perfectly legal. Ash was only missing due to another racing commitment which took priority, that is now cancelled so he is now available to ride.

Richie has broken his tib and fib not his femur although he was having an op to put them back together. -
Not last time he rode for the Hitmen he wasn't. Dropped 2-3 points off his average before moving to Plymouth

Well the sunshine has been and gone. Has been raining for the last hour or so and doesn't look like getting any better. Forecast is for rain to continue so we have made the decision to cancel the meeting. Hopefully those that are travelling haven't got too far.

Had some heavy showers today along with some much needed sunshine but it is the weather tomorrow that counts. As long as the rain stays away we will be fine as the track drains well and we may well be watering before the meeting as we were a couple of weeks ago. Will update in the morning but won't be up as early as 7am but if you want to send me your mobile number Mimmo I will let you know if it is off after you set off.

Sorry tried to delete but couldnt.

Meeting off - new date TBC -
The agreed pay rate for the NL is £10 per point but a lot of riders are paid more. No different really from the days of the CL when the pay rate was £5 per point and again many riders got more than that. The pay problems today of the NL are no different from those in the CL days and probably equally apply in the EL/PL. The smaller clubs just cannot compete with the bigger clubs and some clubs will end up either promising money they cannot deliver to attract riders or shutting down. Not really sure why this topic has been raked over again or what anyone expects to gain. Tim had his reasons for leaving and most people seem to have moved on.
-
Who do you suggest we sign then as there is no one out there prepared to ride for what we can offer??? As for losing interest that is not true but we can only work with what we have got. Feel free to tell us where we are going wrong.

Ashley Birks guests for the Heathens. Rain has now stopped and meeting is on.
-
Cant see any reason why Richie can't ride but you cannot change the riding order so he would have to ride at 2.
-
Not according to the referee. Incidentally not one rider or member of Stoke's management team made a complaint either.

As previously said I will mention it to the guys that do the burger van, not much else I can do. As for Tuesday there may have been food available but that's not to say that everyone likes what was on offer -
The referee told Jack that T/Rs were not applicable in the KOC on Sunday.

The food is out of our control as it is an outside caterer but I will mention it to them next time. You could always bring your own as some people do and then you wont need to worry. This is not specific to Buxton though its just one of those things after all I couldn't get a pork buttie last night but hey ho thats life. -

Paper towels and hand sanitiser (water not needed) were placed in the gents prior to the start of the meeting. Perhaps it would be a good idea to tell someone at the track if they run out so they can be replenished instead of writing on here after the event when it is too late. -

Think there are updates on the Hitmen Twitter site if you dont get anyone Sue. Weather is dry but coldish so wrap up warm anyone who is coming. -
I think the point he/she was making is that the league isn't meant to be about making money and riders should be taking the opportunity to learn and move up into the PL/EL and then make money. Of course everyone wants to earn as much as possible in all walks of life but for the majority of us you start at the bottom and work your way upwards and your salary is adjusted accordingly. Speedway shouldn't really be any different in that you learn your trade in the NL and then command more money and status in the PL/EL as you improve and gain experience. Unfortunately not everyone sees it like that and some use the NL as a way of making easy money but then that impacts on us all with clubs closing in the NL due to costs and riders increased demands in the higher leagues.

He did ask once (can't remember the actual date) prior to the start of the season but unfortunately we couldn't accommodate him at that time due to a combination of weather conditions and the fact that a large section of fencing was being replaced which had to be completed prior to racing. We can use the track at any time for practicing for anyone but it is of course subject to weather and Richard's work commitments as the track will have to be done again for racing afterwards.
