No I haven't seen it but as I understand only one rider registered their interest to be included on the list. The idea behind it was that any unattached rider would, on request, be included on the list which would be held by the office. Any team short of a rider, whose only option was an unattached 3pt rider as a replacement, would be able to check the list to see who was available. Unfortunately the idea didn't really take off and there is a distinct lack of riders that you can use to make up for absences which aren't covered by the guest or r/r option.

No he didn't as Kings Lynn took him out of their 1-8 and Buxton had him in theirs at the time.

The Heathens V Mildenhall < Grand Final>
Jayne replied to greyhoundp's topic in National League Speedway
No choice in the matter as League takes priority. -
The early morning fog has cleared to leave nice blue skies and sunshine so its all systems go for the final match of the season.

This fixture brings to an end the 2012 season for the Hitmen who haven't enjoyed the best of fortunes this season. However, the home side will be looking to exact revenge on the Islanders who snatched victory at Hi-Edge in the last few heats of the league fixture earlier in the season. Both teams are missing their number 1's and the Hitmen have Tony Atkin whilst the visitors have opted for Lewis Kerr who top scored with 16 for the Young Stars at Buxton a couple of weeks ago. The Hitmen are also looking to finish the season off with a win and get their Trophy points tally of the ground. Whatever happens, it is sure to be a meeting filled with plenty of action as the Islanders look to challenge Mildenhall for the honours in the Trophy competition.

Mildenhall V Dudley - Ko Cup Final 1st Leg - Sunday 7th October
Jayne replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
The SCB/BSPA can still intervene after the event as they did earlier this season after the Scunthorpe v Buxton match. No official complaint was made on the day regarding the inclusion of Steven Jones in Scunthorpe's team although he wasn't in their declared line up and he had an established average so wasn't eligible as an unattached 3 pointer. The end result was that his points were deducted although it didn't change the result of the match. -
Yes I am Mrs Moss but there is also another Mrs Moss (my mother in law). I would just like to point out that I am not in sole charge of Buxton - it is run by the Moss family so the ins and outs of my life are a bit irrelevant (not directed at you Damon ).

The home team has to offer the visitors a choice of three dates (words to that effect anyway).

No I wasn't at Mildenhall as my son was playing football (not that I have to justify myself or that I am required for the meeting to go ahead). To say we are not bothered is unfair at best as I don't see anyone else paying the bills or putting the work in to get a meeting on in the first place . Its not a case of just selling up if we wanted to as there is hardly a queue of buyers, but if you want to buy Buxton then let us know.

It is very doubtful that Buxton will run in the league as it is. The stark fact is that we can no longer afford the ever increasing costs alongside the drop in crowd levels and lack of sponsorship. The league has been down to five teams in the past and survived so we will see what happens but unless ways can be found of generating funds to offset the costs or the running costs are decreased then Buxton won't be part of it next year.

Is that due to a planning issue? If so couldn't they apply for an alteration?

The cut off date was agreed as the 16th September prior to the start of the season

Branford is out for the season with a torn cruciate ligament. -
No it doesn't - each promotion in the NL is responsible for paying its riders home and away.

They did indeed as they have again next weekend
-
Would be good but you are racing at Mildenhall when we have our next meeting.

Rob is out for the season and Ashley Morris' average is too high.

If you are referring to me I didn't throw any books anywhere so get your facts straight.

Buxton V Mildenhall - National League - 29/7/2012
Jayne replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
At the end of the day a draw was a fair result to both teams. Buxton rode well to get in front and then the Fen Tigers worked hard to get on level terms with one heat left. If the result had been decided we may not have tried to run heat 15 as the rain was worsening. Both teams wanted to give it a go though and take the chance of winning the meeting. Unfortunately it didn't work out but all credit to the riders for getting on with it and the track staff, medics and supporters for bearing with us. All in all a good meeting which the weather did its best to ruin. -
