Stefan Nielsen's starting PL average was 4.70 whilst Ben Wilson's is 6.10. Ben is also over 25. Current rules are a rider 5 or under and aged under 25 at the start of the season providing they are not in an initial PL 1-7 may remain in the NL. Any rider 4 or under and aged under 25 and ride both PL and NL. Beat me to it Mr Mungo

Im sure the results will be on the Hitmen twitter feed (signal permitting) as well Sue. Another tough match for the Hitmen today against Mildemdl nhall but one thing is for sure in that the lads will be giving it their all. Start time is 3pm as usual and the main match is followed by MDL Buxton v Milton Keynes.

Didn't know there were any?

Plenty when the clubs sit down and agree a pay rate. Paying over the odds in the NL also impacts on the PL and the EL. If a rider is getting £20-£30 per point and no deductions in the NL and scoring well how much will they expect in the PL and then in turn in the EL where they have to pay for tyres and insurance and will probably be scoring 4 or 5 a meeting if they are lucky. The rich clubs needs to remember that they need the poorer clubs to race against.

He can't double down anyway as he is not under 25.

and offering big money (for the NL) helps a little

Meetings don’t get any easier for the resurgent Hitmen as this Sunday the league leaders are the visitors to Hi-Edge Raceway (3.00). Encouraged by their 40 point score against fancied Coventry Storm the home side will have to be on their metal to fend off the Heathens who ran up a 71 point tally when the teams met at Monmore Green earlier in the season. ‘No doubt Cradley are the league’s class act’ commented Buxton’s Skipper Liam Carr ‘but we are a better unit that we were when we visited them in May and we won’t be looking just to roll over! The guys are hitting a bit of form right now and we look forward to racing anyone at home’ Cradley line-up without Steve Worrall who is riding for his premier league side Edinburgh at Glasgow and will use the Rider Replacement facility for Worrall. New averages see Tom Perry back in the main body of the team and Elite league fast track rider Nathan Greaves dropping to reserve. Promoter Jayne Moss is looking forward to the test ‘We will have to be at our best but the week on week improvement in the team give cause for optimism.’ She urged fans to be there early on Sunday ‘ it’s sure to be a good crowd and with the weather set fair make sure you leave enough time to be in place for the 3.00pm start’ For those who haven’t been to Buxton before it is a ‘drive-in’ speedway and you can watch all the action from your car but space is limited and good viewing will be at a premium. Buxton: Liam Carr, Sam Ward, Ryan Blacklock, Tom Woolley, Tony Atkin, Stefan Farnaby, Adam Extance Cradley: Paul Starke, Matt Williamson, Max Clegg, Steve Worrall (R/R), Tom Perry, Nathan Greaves, Danny Phillips

Its all systems go for today's meeting at Hi-Edge. No problems with the track although we have had a little rain this morning. With both teams looking for a good result we should see some good racing.

My kids are going and we have a three hour drive home and school the next day. -
Unfortunately three of the dates we requested home fixtures on were taken away from us due to shared events and the league match at Mildenhall.

I said exactly the same about rules should be same for everyone and got accused of having an agenda with the club concerned. I'm not sure what the rules where/are regarding Leics trophy team but it does seem a little harsh. Maybe Leics have a declared lineup somewhere and that is where the problem lies in that Tom is in it and Michael isn't.
-
The fact that they have chosen to have six 3 pointers in the team is irrelevant, it is not an excuse to ignore the rules. I don't want any points deducted I just want everyone to abide by the same rules. If that's Scunthorpe's version then fine as long as it applies to everyone. As for if I am correct it quite clearly states "Hiererarchical order is in accordance with the declaration of the team/s below" on each team declaration.
-
The last team declaration we had was number 9 which is also available for anyone to view on the BSPA website. Perhaps you are privy to a different one but that is irrelevant as this is not the first time Scunthorpe have moved their riders around to suit this season. If snide is telling it how it is then so be it. I just want a level playing field for everyone or is that too much to ask?? As for certain teams in this instance you know full well that I mean Scunthorpe and for your information I have reported it as I am quite within my rights to do, we will see what happens but I can guarantee if Buxton did the same it would not be allowed.
-
Not obsessed with any rider and if they followed the rules like everyone else I wouldn't need to comment. To be polite I'm fed up of certain teams being allowed to bend the rules to suit. I've no problem if we all abide to the same regulations but it seems that Scunthorpe, who have chosen to set their team up in the way they have, have their own rules regarding line-ups at least.

No problems and everyone welcome

We have not agreed a date as yet and you are quite right the next home meeting is on 29th June.
-
League always takes priority over other competitions whilst separately there is a hierarchy between the three leagues ie EL, then PL and finally NL.
-
Today's scheduled KOC clash with Coventry has fell victim to the weather. With heavy rain on and off in the area since Friday combined with a poor forecast today the club have made an early decision. A restaging date is yet to be agreed.

Well as I was on the gate I know that there was not a queue when racing started but hey ho everyone is entitled to their opinion. As for Michael Neale he has said that he can't commit to a team due to his father's work. Jack was originally continuing at Buxton but has changed his mind due to the amount of work/travelling involved at Brum.
-
Not true there was no one queuing to get in at 3pm. Those that missed any racing arrived after start time.
-
'She' is not in the pay booth for most of the meeting but needs must as no money in means no speedway.

Buxton's first home meeting of the season sees a full afternoon of action. First up is the NL match against the Potters who have high hopes of continuing their success from the previous night against Kent. For the Hitmen it will be a home debut for Sean Phillips, Stefan Farnaby and Adam Extance. We will also see the first defence of the Bronze Helmet from Ben Wilson against the top scoring Hitman. Finally the action finishes with Buxton's first ever MDL match against the Spitfires. Racing starts at 3pm as usual.
