  1. Easy enough to check as the AGM is recorded so doesn't matter what was or wasn't written down.
  2. It would make more sense to pay the riders first and then hold on to whatever is left to pay the fine with any balance needing to be paid before another promoting licence is issued.
  3. NL bond is not £6K so not sure how that was ever going to work.
  4. Yes we were fined despite our fixture against Coventry being rained off twice and then unable to get any response from Mick Horton to rearrange.
  5. Perhaps they are licenced and insured through MCF ?
  6. The press release said there might be a shared event allocated. That wont be happening though as it isn't cost effective as we would still need to purchase all the necessary annual licences.
  7. The right to hold assets was reinstated to NL clubs last year.
  8. Correct only 2 x 2pt riders permitted per team
  9. It was the reason given by MC as to why we couldn't make the NL a used tyre league. I guess that they thought it would open them up to legal action if someone got injured and were able to blame having to use a used tyre.
  10. It has been suggested at previous AGM's but doesn't get off the ground due to 'health and safety'.
  11. Nothing has officially been released yet as to who the two teams are that are moving up.
  12. No need to apologise and no offence taken, but thank you anyway.
  13. Rocket007 - prior to this season we have always finished our fixtures. We have also in the past won the Trophy, league and KOC and been in the playoffs. We might not be successful on a regular basis but it is easy to be so when you have money behind you. With regards to Coventry, they were offered any Sunday in October after their original meeting was twice rained off but have yet to respond. I have also said that we would go to Coventry when a date was provided but again have had no notifications. We have had seven meetings rained off this year which is more than we have had in the last two years combined I think and this hasn't helped matters. Yes, we have had a good summer but if the weather isn't with you on raceday it is irrelevant what the other days are like. We are more exposed than most to the weather and in fact Sunday's meeting had sun. rain and fog all in the space of about four hours. Although we might not share the track with other disciplines we have work commitments which have to be met in order to pay the deficit that speedway occurs.
  14. We are still waiting a response from Coventry regarding the outstanding fixtures.
  15. The 8 day rule does apply but only to a rider making a guest appearance and Max was riding for his own team last week.
  16. The switch was agreed with Laurence and you are incorrect In saying that the NT didn't have a deadline. If I remember correctly at the time of racing the NT match Bham were in with a chance of qualifying for the final.
  17. They do but a lot will depend on their play off dates now due to the cancellations last week. We had provisionally agreed 14/10 with Cov and 21/10 with Eastbourne before last weeks cancellations.
  18. So why did they ride on 16th Sept? - there was no suggestion then of going home despite the rain.
  19. It is true, both Eastbourne and Coventry enquired about the possibility of racing at Buxton on 16th. As we were not prepared to choose one team over the other I referred the matter to the authorities only for Eastbourne to say they couldn't come after all, so the date was offered to Coventry. Eastbourne were also offered the possibility of Stoke on 16/9 but turned that down for the same reason.
  20. Its a fine balance between finishing the season too early and having outstanding fixtures. What happens to the rest of the year if meetings are done with by August for those that aren't in the playoffs? No easy answer we have tried the Trophy competition at the end of the year but that didn't work well either.
