  1. He's still down as TM on the club website, but then again, Danny King is still down as the track record holder so accuracy doesn't kick in for about 4 years.
  2. The thought that anyone of his standing and experience wouldn't know his own set up or work out pretty quickly that something isn't working is a bit of a stretch.
  3. It's a David Brent moment as the dart smacks in to something somehow: “Sh** flights on those aren't they?”
  4. Agreed. Injury prone & coming back from a bad one at the age of 46 as of April 2. A great rider once (but not even then in 2011 at the EoES). Hopefully we've done better.
  5. Did you think that there would be a future after 2023 (which was also once in doubt let's not forget)? Unless the EoES is available in 2024 then I think that we're screwed regardless.
  6. That'll soon clear all of the pre-season negativity and the never ending administrative shenanigans.
  7. To answer Klindt's question: he's been around long enough to know better: Season tickets (and we're not talking big numbers) are generally bought by supporters who will be going anyway, regardless of the final team. You get hassle free entry, parking and programme. 2023 is expected to be the last opportunity to sample the sport at the majestic EoES. Peterborough fans don't (or shouldn't if they've been around long enough) expect, since Rathbone left in recent times, customer orientated efficient administration & communications - it's British Speedway after all! (there may be good reasons in this case?) Thank you
  8. Aah the memories: Rathbone, Godfrey and funnily enough a Holder
  9. So true. Nearly put that myself but didn't want to go off on a tangent. So many similarities between Coventry & Peterborough, in that we've both suffered the sublime and ridiculous ends of the promotional merry go round!
  10. It's been like that since Chapman took over though so why are people kicking off now. His prime objective is/was sustainability & cost above success and popularity. It could be said that he succeeds. It's yours and others choice whether they support/pay for that, clearly enough do.
  11. Given that 2023 looked unlikely to happen at all at one point and 2024 is a pipe dream (If you think that Tomalin is the answer and PCC will be supportive then you may need to revisit that) then I'd enjoy the moment and be a bit more supportive of those putting in the time, effort & money in to give you speedway to watch and attend in the coming season. (just made bratters spit out his coffee ) Yes it's a cock up and has all of the business skill and communication output of a secondary school project but that's speedway, who's surprised? As Peterborough fans we know all too well what happens when you get an owner/promoter who wants to take the sport up a notch and take it in to the real world.
  12. If you're starting point is that paper never refuses ink then you'll never be disappointed when nothing happens as is usually the case.
  13. Depends whether you've looked at who he beat and factor in how pants Panthers were last season. Is 2022 alone good measure?
  14. Sounds like it's a time-limited sorry mess. Make the most of 2023 folks because 2024 in any suitable form seems to be disappearing over the horizon?
  15. Given that he started the thread and is a poster on speed (not literally to avoid confusion) I'd guess that he's read all of it. I couldn't make out what's pathetic about it either. Most of social media is pathetic anyway and forums have been speedway's devil incarnate for 25 years or more. Everyone knows what they are going to get don't they? It's often puerile nonsense so surely that's the starting point if you choose to read?
  16. It was a joke, pretty light hearted and not particularly vicious. The individual created the circumstances himself and is hopefully now getting the help he needs to control or more likely kick the habit, stop him from getting in a car to kill himself or others, as well as keeping him free from jail. In the unlikely event that he does see the post/joke, hopefully he sees if for what it is, but if it touches a nerve and spurs him in to more effective rehabilitation then that can only be a good thing.
  17. Bodes well for a bumper 2024 thread. Flappy will be able to dismantle Panthers 2023 finishing team at August Bank Holiday and speculate for the next 6 months on the club's future, if it has one, as well as passing on all of the rumours that he's gleaned from the oche
  18. Until it's announced otherwise then Andersen is in so until that time you need to restructure any 1-7.
  19. Just read it in the style of Roy Walker, you'll be fine!
  20. Haven't seen any permutation yet to make me sit up and take note so will wait and see what is eventually served up. Andersen is in as far as I know and virtually everyone keeps leaving him out?
  21. Agree on the first part if not the second. Iversen is far too brittle these days. Hopefully one of Tomalin's objectives will be planning for when Iversen is on the sidelines. Chances are that it will be needed and a useful exercise.
  22. No thanks it's tiresome. I'll await an official announcement. Hopefully one of his promoter objectives is more effective timely club communication instead of rumour and leaks.
  23. That depends on AEPG and whether their proposed planning application was submitted at the end of 2022 as they expected and went through unopposed? There was plenty of local opposition. If it all gets tricky and expensive for them then I don't think another season would be out of the question although it's clutching at straws.
