So Poole are not worthy EL champions because they only finished 4th over the whole season? -

We could call it the "Who's doing the hokey cokey now" challenge. -

Colin Horton did bring him here and he turned out never to be worth the risk. If someone else could get a season out of him then we would have been talking. -

Can't remember, he was like a yo-yo? Sounds familiar though on all sides: Panthers' bosses had feared Zabik could manipulate his average in their colours and then move on to the Pirates next year on a low mark. At the time of his sacking he was one meeting away from gaining a full average. -

His famous moment at Poole was this in 2006: Poole Pirates 36 1. Bjarne Pedersen 2,4!,3,1* = 10+1 2. Craig Boyce 0,0,2,0 = 2 3. Krzysztof Kasprzak 2,0,2,3,0 = 7 4. Greg Walasek 0,2,1*,3 = 6+1 5. Antonio Lindback 3,1!,3,2,1 = 10 6. Jason Doyle 1,0,0,0 = 1 7. Shaun Tacey 0,0,0,0 = 0 Peterborough Panthers 56 1. Hans Andersen 3,3,3,2,3,3 = 17 2. Ulrich Ostergaard 1,1*,1,1,1* = 5+2 3. The reality is that if our lord and masters had had a clue over the last 10 or more years and not year on year built to the lowest common denominator then your expectations might be somewhat higher. What is it with Panthers? Haven't you got your own thread or do you p' off everyone on there as well! -

Links no but I have heard Pearson & co banging on every season about our potential WTC squad everytime Bridger, Howe,Stead, King etc etc win a race. You know the one's picking up tips from being around quality riders and having plenty of rides. They were EL/NL level in the beginning and are now solidly average. If your model for British speedway is cheap but International wilderness then good on you, you should join the BSPA. Yes a Havelock. Loram, Woffinden might come out of the woodwork but will the British speedway paying public be happy to subsidise it? Time will tell. -

With respect we've been there, done it and know how it works. The prospect isn't so much of an issue, rather the how and why although the majority will take what's on offer regardless. -

Technically no and I see that the Coventry ones have photo id so that would scupper it. If we're going down that route again then I'll give it a miss and pay as and when. The credit card style ST was progress and worked fine! -

ok I would say that they know what forums are like and those that use them are only a small minority of their crowd anyway so why anyone gets worked up I don't know.. They quote the good, don't read the negative or dislike what they do become aware of all in equal measure when it suits - that's the internet for ya Jeez I hope not, next step a Bager or Dryml. -

You're talking about British mentality kids here who think they've made it when they get a van with their name on the side, and extra practice would only take up valuable drinking time and talking to girls. Practice does not make perfect if they haven't got the real talent in the first place. Is the objective a WTC squad or EL full of British 6 pointers? -

I just didn't agree with this: "Being in the presence of top riders, seeing how they perform and being given advice should accelerate their progress. The more a rider rides, he has more opportunities to improve." They've been in the presence of top riders for years but if thety haven't got it then they haven't got it and more rides isn't going to make much difference. The way to progress to the top. if good enough, is to progress with confidence through the league structure. I've not seen the format yet so am talking without vital info but I wondered who it has usually worked on? Assume you're a 2006 starter? Yes we are pleased to have speedway. Why haven't the people been coming through the turnstiles? Bearing in mind his previous experiences at the EoES one wonders why he wants more of that? Can't see that much has changed apart from PL might be a cheaper and better option, and that these EoES people might be easier to work with than they were last time around? -

Why? What can anyone do about it? I'm not happy about it but will give it a go. History tells us the likely outcome. The power you have is don't go if it's such a problem -

Why H&S gone mad? Other events not wanting speedway to be included? Lack of entrances etc apart from at big events? Seems to be one way in and one way out generally. The EoES is nothing like the huge standalone place it was for those 30 years. Thought we'd tried that, they're not interested. -

How could you not understand that? I showed it to Stephen William Hawking CH CBE FRS FRSA and within 48h hours he came back with an answer. It wasn't the right answer but the rulebook even tested his super intelligence! We were quite happy where we were. I'd guess it's how and why we got here and what is the plan for the long-term future which is troubling my colleague. -

The Bible bashers was the best when the preacher on their mic somehow came out of the stadium PA for the speedway faithful, don't think that we were losing and needed a prayer -

Once a two-bit 6 fingered outfit, always a 6 fingered two-bit outfit, and they've got Mr Personality as well so that's a big bonus
