Peterborough Panthers 2014

It was good of you to finish 12 points adrift in 2008 though to keep our worst side in living memory off the bottom of the table. That manicured centre green is looking a bit rough! -

Last year they were completely cold due to horrible weather meaning no track time and riders recovering from injury. Plenty of nice weather and track time this year although a Saturday & Monday practice helped to make the track a gaters gift, much like the first meeting 2013. So a cold team against a 6 man Rockets? Not buying that one I'm afraid! It will improve though I have no doubt. -

Also played Paranoid, sounds appropriate for the thread. -

Don't know about welcome. More like confirmation of a few things. -

My first impresson of Swindon was that it's a close to the EoES as I've seen but then we were pants. Does take some explaining on both counts as you say. -

It's not a challenge unless we're talking about PL on a Tuesday evening! -

So will we! So much expectation but usually only just behind Wolverhampton as the easiest 3 points of the season (someone nudge brum to that). Unfortunately we reciprocate at Blundson and Monmore, but not this year! -

Two bob team. Panthers 2014 EL & PL threads combined total 130 pages and we've got no fans apparently. It took a dig at SteveO to apply jump leads to the Swindon thread at one point when it stalled in the cold weather It is fair to say that our resident Poole mentalist was a large irritant and contributor to those threads and a few of its offshoots are still in operation so perhaps not quite as impressive on the face of it! -

That would involve organisation, time and a spare tenner which is difficult in total, or in part, for some. Not me fortunately but I fall in to the other part of the post (not the away from home bit): "I go to watch them race around the track home and away, not to watch them on the Disco or getting asked awkward/predictable questions. It's a personal thing and nothing against anyone who goes, good on you, but not my thing". Good to hear that after Sullivan's poor show we're back on the ball on the management front, didn't see a cabaret advertised -

40 miles of fuel in that case plus any food or drink and you never get the time back! Of course not, that'd make me a Swindon supporter. Q: What do you call a Swindon fan with an IQ of 125? A: a foursome. -

I charge a considerable stalking fee so it's quite welcome to stalk as long as it can fund its obsession. Oops sorry, just been reading the Tsunami book on how to eradicate compulsive disorders within society -

I'd agree with that although can't comment on team strengths at this level so will take your word for the last bit. -

Based on that summing up it's a toss up! Whoever can get full strength 7v7s on track wins it for me. -

Probably not, only go to Peterborough so the point remains! No interest in going to Belle Vue or Eastbourne & went to Lakeside in 1992, that was enough! -

I'd also say that cut & thrust, more speed & skill means that there's more chance of that wow factor over the whole course of the race, makes it worth turning up. Let's see what a year away delivers? -

Who voted? Is that the interesting news or is that still to come: Must say that that's a disappointment tbh, much like MJJ really so not so far off? -

That's their strategy isn't it? Just a continuation of the 3 year plan but taking a bit longer until it all merges into one. -

It's a good point. Not particularly happy myself but can't fund Elite League speedway at the moment, which Tsunami says is the criteria for having an opinion, because the Euro Lottery eluded me again last night (same thing every bloody week!). However, it's better to be running than not. -

With good reason and money didn't appear to be a problem: Frost added: “There are losses at Peterborough every year but myself and Julie are very fortunate in that our companies make a lot of money. “Without wishing to sound blasé, it is not big bucks to us. - and just after that was published on October 28 Frost decided that speedway wasn't for him. -

see what I mean, it's only the resident mentalist who made us seem like the best supported club in the country (I have to talk & agree with myself). Although we're the fastest growing city in the uk, where a multilingual phrasebook is an essential, the only thing that'd get Peterborough moving is a four minute warning telling them that their hovercraft is full of eels! -
All but access are currently being ripped up by the nasty party and their monkey and the majority haven't got a clue! Those that have just swallow the propoganda.

Not really a problem though is it? From the Posh website: "A person has a "disability" if he/she has a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on his/her ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities. Peterborough United Football Club reserves the right to request "proof of a disability" `Such proof shall include: Receipt of the middle or higher rate of the Disability Living Allowance (mobility or care component). Receipt of either the Severe Disablement Allowance or Attendance Allowance" That's a good point starting for now until PIP is in full swing under the ConDems when anything but the severest disability is a figment of the imagination.
