Think that had more to do with the attractive opposition in the last match

2012 Gp Wildcards Announced
Nutz replied to Fozzie4388's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Beat me to it... Would've thought it was the first place to be announced... -
Many thanks for the contribution... Do you have a date when Simon and Jamie achieved their records? And also, can you advise who the PL track record holder is? I'm assuming it's still Ty Proctor, yeah?

Updated with Charlie Gjedde's TR at Newport on Wednesday against Redcar shaving a huge 0.03secs off Kim Nilsson's previous best!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's an accurate time-keeper!

Updated with David Howe's TR at Normanby Road against Glasgow on 27th Jul...

Updated to reflect Richard Lawson's and Seb Alden's record breaking races over the weekend at Glasgow and Berwick respectively. As for Adam Allot, it stil states on the Dudley website that Lee holds the track record... I'll leave it at that one for now.

Updated after Jan Graversen ever so nearly broke the 60s barrier at Beaumont Leys on Saturday in Heat1...

Speedway World Cup Team Line Ups
Nutz replied to Ben Alderton's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Don't think it's such a bad thing having the Russians in the race-off as all 4 teams will be taking points off each other. Look at last night when we were needing a rider to come between a Pole and a Brit? No-one looked capable of doing it... Now on Thursday at least all 4 teams have this chance... -
I doubt he's old enough to even know about girls...

If the County Ground was still open, then Mark Loram would've been the quickest man in British Speedway (if his 1996 track record still stood!)... He clocked 64.3 round the 396m track, giving him an average speed of 55.11mph (88.68kph)... And with a steel safety fence, that took ba!!s! However, as Exeter are sadly no longer with us, Ricky Ashworth holds that accolade so far...

Many thanks ArnieG... Updated...

Also very good news for us at Edinburgh if it's not broken, as he's been a revelation since joining us... Friday may come too soon for him though if it's badly bruised...

Darcy Ward Wild Card Cardiff - I Wish
Nutz replied to tink426's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I for one am pleased. We need to look after our own in this country, and if that means sticking by our guns of a Brit taking the GP spot via qualification from the British final, then so be it. Why should we recommend it go to an Aussie? This way, a Brit has the incentive to push hard in the British Final, as there's a prize worth fighting for at the end of it. As other's have said, injured/unavailable riders will be covered by the GP reserves who qualified by right to be the next in line should a rider unfortunately miss a GP. As for BSI/IMG definitely wanting him in? Where do you get this information from??? A huge push... from whom? Very true, they could, but they won't! If Ward gets awarded a wildcard, it will be outside Poland. Again, wrong. The Cardiff wild-card will be the next best from the British Final. -
Updated with Ben Barkers track record at Plymouth this evening...
-
Updated, many thanks
-
Thanks all for the info, most are now updated with this exception... Pitstop, any idea when the above achieved their times? Cheers in advance
-
Cheers Paulco, now updated... Only need Leicester's official track length if someone knows it...
-
Me too!!!! Was just looking at the programme on the Belle Vue website, and the heat time entries stop at around heat 8 so never saw the heat times after this. Thanks.
-
Really? Looking at the Belle Vue website, Jason recorded 63.2 in heat 4 which was the fastest that was recorded - However, some races don't have times against them...
-
Updated, Cheers

If one of the mods could make it a Sticky, then it'd be a bit easier to update I think - Making it a little like the "confirmed signings" thread that runs prior to the season...
-
Just a bit of useful/useless information that indicates the order of which tracks in which division are the quickest - although it's probably easy to work out, then at least there's some data to match it.
-
I'm sorry, does it not have Coventry or Peterborough as a central topic??? If you don't think the information is of use, then don't read the topic.
