So with Rusty in the team (7.04) would leave us with 5.10 points, any suggestions for the final place? As I say who would want to be a team manager
-
That may be so, what do you propose? Would hate to be a team manager
-
Here's a possible team based around the 42.50 limit 1. Richy Lawson - 8.64 2. Kyle Howarth - 5.47 3. Tero Aarnio - 5.67 4. Ricky Wells - 6.47 5. Rene Bach - 7.93 6. Kyle Newman - 5.31 7. Ashley Morris - 3.00 Total 42.49 In my view everyone of that team is capable of upping their average Sorry forgot to mention that this is only assuming Adam doesn't sign for us ( which I hope he does).

Great news for the Monarchs fans and speedway
-
On an average of 6.47 a bargain
-
Hope your right Pal, as you say we have been lucky enough to have had some great teams over the years but throughout we have also had more than our fair share of injuries this year being no exception. Hope Sheffield can come back stronger next year always enjoy our encounters.
-
As you say SP it would potentially leave us vulnerable at the bottom end, but I doubt it would ever happen anyway ( can only dream). Still delighted with our 1st two signings though
-
But what a top 5 that would be, would you risk it? not sure
-
So who next, may have to wait until after AGM, I would go for Adam, Kyle and Ash, plus if points allow Ricky Wells
-
Yessssss great signing
-
Yessss fantastic news, well done Laura great start

You are correct there Scarra, which makes Richards achievement even better, any rider who can keep a rider of the calibre of Rene out of the number 1 slot has some talent, and as one of our own deserves to be in the team
-
Your opinion Skoobie, but whatever you think Richy started the season off at No 1 and maintained that position throughout the season while increasing his average in the process not an easy task. On top of that he has always made himself available for any promotional event. He has handled the captaincy very well and is a very level headed young man with a lot of talent ( Cumbrian at that) so I for one would welcome Richard back with open arms.

Well lets hope that the Monarchs will operate in 2013, it would be a great shame not to see the Blue and Gold next season, hopefully the fact that a decision has been deferred for 2 weeks is an indication that there may be a way forward for them Good Luck

Rene back at Worky in 2013, already sent my letter off to Santa

Well said AF, nothing to do with having anything against Scunny, as you say this is for the League title ( well not really because Newcastle won that) but whatever it was for we deserved a chance to run our final fixture. I am sure if the shoe was on the other foot Scunny fans would feel the same and rightly so. Just makes a mockery of the play-offs

Well great news to hear last night that the future of the Comets has been secured ( for the next 2 years at least), welcome to the new promotional team and I am sure all Comets fans will get behind Laura, Steve and Jacko to demonstrate their support. I would love to see the bulk of this years team lining up at the starting gate next year, they have worked well together as a team and have treated us to some great speedway this season, last night being no exception. Personally I would like to thank Keith Denham and his team for all their hard work and dedication over the past 5 years. I know full well that Keith style has not pleased everybody but love him or hate him you cant knock what he has done for the club in terms of not only financial commitment over many years ( including the sponsorship of many of our riders Stoney included) but for the hours spent behind scenes ensuring that we have had some of the best teams ever to grace a Comets body colour. Keith best wishes to you and your family for the future. So here's to a successful and injury free 2013, look out the Premier League THE COMETS ARE BACK :0))

What a shambles this play off system has been, must say if I was a Newcastle supporter I would be pissed off that we had finished top and did not take the League Championship trophy. I appreciate that they ( the BSPA) want to end the season with a bang but let's face it its been a damp squid. No disrespect to those teams in the final play-offs but Newcastle deserve to take the league championship. And certainly in my eyes they are the 2012 PL Champions
