  1. Hope Andre goes well for the Tiggers, always an entertaining rider and if he comes in as a 5 pointer he must surely be a bargain The Glasgow fans deserve some success
  2. Good call by the promotion, heavy rain from about 5pm onwards meeting would have been rained off. Lets hope the weather allows us to get the meeting on tomorrow night
  3. Well done to the Berwick promotion, that is one hell of signing. Lets hope the Berwick supporters respond by getting behind their team. Good luck for the rest of the season Where does that leave Ashworth? Shame for the lad but can understand why Berwick have made the move. I suspect that when he is fully fit a place may open up back at Sheffield
  4. Great result for the Comets, by far the better team over two legs, once Steady had gone that was the end of the Tiggers not that he would have made any difference they look very long in the tail. From our point of view great team performance.
  5. Only one winner last night and that was speedway, what a great advert for the sport ( Sky you missed a cracker). Well done to all 14 riders. From a Sheffield prospective Steady was outstanding and his 3rd to 1st pass in heat 13 was brilliant. As for the Comets the team spirit was evident throughout and as an added bonus for us it was good to see Kyle back to his best. If this type of entertainment was served up at speedway meetings every week then the sport would very quickly emerge from the doldrums.
  6. Starting to rain about 10 miles south of the track :0((
  7. Well said SL, hopefully a great season ahead of us, should anyone wish to contact the supporters club for what ever reason our e mail address is wssc.committee@gmail.com
  8. Yes would agree with that Montie, great news for all Sheffield fans it will be good to see Simon back in the top league ( PL that is).
  9. We all know what Rusty is capable of on his day when his mind set is right, but last season he was clearly not a happy cooky, and would often disappear into the dressing room long before the end of the meeting, that is not the Rusty we want to see, do we want to take that risk again this season, and can we afford to sign someone who part way through a campaign decides its not what he wants? Sorry as much as I respect him as a rider in my opinion its not worth the risk.
  10. Can't see that happening, as I understand it Campton was brought in as our 2nd reserve which wouldn't be the case if we bring Steady in, it would leave us too long in the tail, been there before and it's never worked
  11. Sorry to loose him but if he can steer clear of injury he will do a great job for you
  12. Well now that it has been confirmed that Royno won't be back at Workington next season who is likely to fill the last two places? Tully and Wethers Vissing and Newman Wells and Eklof The plot thickens Anyway good luck to Adam great wee rider but never has had much luck, and looks likely to loose out again leaving the 2013 champions elect. ;0))
  13. Can't see Steady coming to Worky, it would leave us with only about 3 points to play with, Sheffield bound if you ask me
  14. Not sure Adam wants to come back! I hope he does but if not Ricky would allow us 6.44 for the last rider
  15. Wouldn't mind seeing Ricky at Workington on a 6.47 average that's a bargain
  16. Welcome on board Mason, another solid signing ( and now our asset ) well done Laura, Steve and Jacko
  17. One of the best 3 pointers available, good to see Ash back
  18. They don't call it the funny season for nothing ;0))
  19. Well hopefully after the conference all will become clear, but it certainly looks good at the moment. To be honest as long as we have speedway back next season ( along with all the others teams who competed this year) that will do for me
  20. Great news, the team just gets better, welcome back Kyle
  21. Would surprise me if they did leave Berwick
