  1. I agree Skoobie not just Rusty everyone of our heat leaders appeared to be below par, only Kyle can come away with his head held high. Unfortunately you are right Justin, lets hope the lads can up their game
  2. Well never thought I would say this but that was a terrible performance from the Comets, on this form if we do qualify for the play-offs we will be out in the 1st leg. 13 last places says it all, and what has happened to Rusty, doesn't seem interested. Well think we need to start planning for next year
  3. Yes your right Rebel Rebel Ash has been riding really well lately, still hope he is back sooner rather than later. To be honest I would be surprised if we came away with anything tomorrow even before Ashley's injury, that said who knows there has been some unexpected results this season so live in hope. Who do we get, is Charles Wright available he has been riding well!
  4. Well done to all the lads tonight, great team performance with the rain this week i think the track produced more passing lines and was more to the liking of the home riders. So next Sunday its Scunny bit more of a challenge but if we ride like we did tonight nothing to fear. Did I mention Richards great pass of Grajczonek in ht 11 race of the night with Ash grabbing 3rd from Bunyan. Did I read somewhere that Rich couldn't pass? ;0)) Well done to the whole team
  5. Totally agree LL, I am sure Glasgow would love to have Richard in their team for 2014 and no doubt after last night Sheffield will be interested also. BUT he is a Comet and long may that continue
  6. You are entitled to your opinion but please don't imply that all Worky fans think the same way, Richard has been a great asset for the Comets and I for one would love to see him back next year
  7. Well done to Plymouth, better team won on the night just a shame they did not do a victory lap they deserved it. Mr Bech what a rider, great to watch and a great bunch of supporters too From our point of view just a bad day at the office, that said we are all but in the play-off now so it's how we finish the season which is all that matters. Come on the Comets the league championship awaits us
  8. Fantastic meeting congratulations to both sides Just been on BSPA web site and league positions have not been updated since Thursday surprisingly when Edinburgh hit the No 1 position come on guys give us the credit we deserve
  9. Well great result for us another 3 points in the bag
  10. Good luck tonight guys and stay safe, as TJ says not sure this is a happy hunting ground for us so anything we get will be a bonus.
  11. Boxed set required, absolute disgrace 5.5 hours to run a meeting only the BSPA can arrange that
  12. Good to see all the Comets scoring well tonight, back on track and clear at the top of the PL. Must say some great vocal support from the visiting Leicester fans. Hope they enjoyed the visit and have a safe journey home
  13. Disapointed with the result but thats the ups and downs of supporting this great sport, well done to Ippo, without doubt the best team on the night. From our prospective big thankyou to Micky Dyer, he has been a great guest for us all season would love to see him with the big C on his chest next season. As for the rest of the lads, chin up guys we cannot win everything we have ended the week with an additional 4 points from 2 meetings which keeps us well and truely in the hunt for the play-offs and as we witnessed last season once they start anything can happen. So onwards and upwards.
  14. Never been called a thorn before TJ, but could be worse. PS for those traveling fans weather looking OK at the moment
  15. Well after a disastrous start mainly due to the state of the track it turned out to be a really enjoyable meeting with each and everyone of our lads putting on a good show, must say that now we have Tero back we look to be a lot more balanced side. We were slow to start but once we got dialled in we provided the winner in every race from heat 8 onwards with some great passing notably from Rusty and Richard so it was always going to be an up hill struggle for the Bears. Not forgetting some great vocal support from the traveling fans, very happy bus on the way home.
  16. You should have got Drac to get you a Parmo ( apparently they are very good) what ever they are
  17. Sorry cant agree with that, Workington have done all they can to complete this fixture even changing our race night to avoid bad weather, how can you say it is just one of them things when clearly the track has been overwatered making it unracable ( riders views not mine). Then we have all the fans some who have traveled many miles to take in this meeting no doubt at at a considarable cost. This incident reflects all that is wrong with our sport it should not be classed as just one of those things.
  18. So why would the home riders not want to continue, 5-1 in heat 1 the meeting was going in there favour why would they not want to ride? Surely the promotion must take some responsibility for this, it can't all lay at the door of the riders
  19. So I take it you were there Willowman, if so and you feel the meeting should have gone ahead who ( in your opinion) is at fault here?
  20. As you say Willowman speedway can do without this sort of thing, really like Somerset as a track but at the pairs the track was poor and now this, makes the sport a laughing stock ( pleased Sky weren't there)
  21. Must have been the same tractor that got stuck on the starting gates at the pairs
  22. Some strange results this season, talk about a roller coaster ride for both sets of supporters
