You call it "cup"... and I call it CRAP. Bring back Daily Mirror Tournament of 1973...then we can talk about CUP...if not that then a minimum of 5 riders from each competing nation...and if not even that, ten four riders as we used to have few years back...two ridewrs don't make a team... its a pair and I don't have argument with this. So don't call "cup", don't call it SoN, byt call what it is..Pairs Championship

Tai Woffinden, despite having broken hand, did his best to make sure that his team Wroclaw reached for bronze medal in the Polish Speedway ExtraLiga. He made available for Dan Bewley not only his engines from Ryszard Kowalski, but also mechanics, and during the two final matches personally supervised the progress. The effect was surprisingly good, because the young Bewley scored 23 points in two matches for the bronze medal and was by far the biggest surprise at the end of the season. Most importantly, the 21-year-old rode not only efficiently, but also very effectively, and confirmed that his problems at the start of the season were due to poor equipment and not fear of risky riding. (…)His position in the Wroclaw team will be rather unchallenged, because currently Tai Woffinden, Artiom Łaguta, Maciej Janowski, Gleb Czugunow and Bewley are sure of a contract for the next season. In recent weeks, several clubs have applied for the Brit, but Wrocław have told them that they do not intend to release him. (source: Przegląd Sportowy)

I would suggest that in 2021 at least six rounds of the SGP should be staged by Poole's Pirates Perhaps then Steve Shovlar would have his way...and began commenting here with some sense . -

Robert Lambert has been an eye opener of this year's Polish Ekstraliga, and thanks to the new regulations for 2021 he is in a privileged position when it comes to negotiating his terms with EkstraLiga clubs. Polish daily sports newspaper “Przeglad Sportowy”, in its website version, claims that the Brit recently received offers from seven EkstraLiga clubs and one from Toruń, who are confidently moving towards ExtraLiga promotion. The story goes that he expects PLN 800,000 (£160K) for a signature from several clubs and PLN 7,000 (£1.4K) for each point scored, which, with a similar form to this year's, would give him a chance to earn PLN 1.8 million (£360K) in PGE Ekstraliga. Toruń who are most likely to be promoted to the ExtraLeague are the closest to sign him. They are offering him not only a lot of money, but also an almost confident ride in at least five races in each match. For Lambert, this city may seem extremely attractive also for personal reasons, because his life partner comes from Toruń. It is still unknown whether Torun will decide to abandon their plan for Jason Doyle’s return to the club. Earlier, they had already agreed the terms of the contract with the Holder brothers and they have a big dilemma as to which of the two Jason Doyle, or Chris Holder to choose from. Positions for domestic riders still remains a mystery. At the moment, Paweł Przedpełski and Przemysław Pawlicki have the best chances of appearing for Torun, but it is possible that the Russian Wiktor Kulakow will also remain in the club. In the latter case, however, it will necessary for him to obtain documents entitling him to start as a Pole. With a few unknowns in the line-up, the Toruń club would like to persuade Frederik Jakobsen to ride for their club. If everything went according to plan, he would act as a backup rider and replace the Pole if necessary. However, if Lambert had withdrawn from the original contract, it would have been the Dane who would start as an U-24 rider. Lambert's turnaround cannot be ruled out, as several clubs may return to negotiations with him when they see that all their plans have not worked out so far. Then they will be determined and can offer him money that he could only dream about in Toruń. However, it is not only big money that may tempt him to change his mind, but also the prospect of riding in a slightly better team capable of riding extra matches in the 2021 play-offs. Looking at Toruń's plans, their team on paper would appear weaker than Wroclaw, Leszno or Gorzow.

Of course I will disagree...and what's more...I am asking you a question...who and what stops other riders (Tai among them) to have faster bikes that BZ. In the past Polish riders had no access to up to date speedway technical facilities and yet people like Plech, Jancarz, to name only these two, managed to mix with the best in the world. Now times have changed and all top riders have the same possibilities/opportunities to have what they need to win. If you want equal chances for all, let use for GP racing bikes provided by FIM, direct from a factory (untouched by tuners).

I strongly disagree with your note that "this year that it is heavily weighted towards Polish riders" Anybody who is somebody in world speedway rides day in and day out in the Polish League. Tai Woffinden has been Wroclaw riders for years more than I can remember. So is the case with any foreign riders. How therefore you, or anybody else, can claim that this year is heavily weighted toward Polish riders.

Stop talking, if you please, about two obligatory Polish juniors in every ExtraLiga team as "reserve"...they are NOT. Reserve rider in each Polish team is marked by no. 8 and 16
