Zenon Plech commenting yesterdays Polish Final: "It’s a good thing that the young rider like Szymon Wozniak won the prestigeous Polish title and showed the likes of Zmarzlik Janowski and Pawlicki that he can be as good as them, if not better. This is a proof that Polish speedway does not revolve around few names, but has a solid base and riders who can swap places with the elite"

Speedway World Cup 2017

As far as I know Cookie signed for Bydgoszcz this season shortly before he won the British title, but as yet had no opportunity to ride for them. I think he will do so in an away fixture with Rzeszow. Over to you Pawel. -
Just wondering if we can start looking forward to seeing a Torun v Bydgoszcz derby in 2018? They are almost as "exciting" as the Stal v Mickey Mouse derbys. It's very unlikely that you will see Toun v Bydgoszcz "derby" in 2018. Bydgoszcz is as much struggling in the Nice League as is Torun in the Extra League. It looks as though Bydgoszcz will be relegated to the 3rd, lowest, division, although recently they signed British champion Craig Cook to help them out. Whether that will enough we have wait and see.

Earlier today, Tuesday, a junior tournament was held on a perfectly prepared track of Warsaw's National Stadium the venue of this Saturday round of the SGP 2017. It was won by the Leszno pair of Bartosz Smektala and Dominik Kubera. Marek Cieslak, Poland national coach spoke in the superlatives about the track. The track is great and on Saturday we'll have a fantastic event. The surface is perfectly laid out, "he said on sportowefakty.pl Dominik Kubera loved it. It's short and technical I liked it so much that I thought I could go to England someday, because there are so many similar tracks there, "he said after today's testing the National's surface. -

So was I... Also wondering what kept him from being active on the International section. Going through some different section today I came across this most sad news of him passing away. I wish to express my deepest sympathy to Alan's wife - Karen, and his family. I know that he also loved and followed Polish speedway and was always courteous and well humoured. Rest In Peace, Alan. -

They always have their choice...no one makes them do that they don't want...it's up to them who they sign for...but if they do, they need to observe conditions set up in their agreement (with any club). It is as simple as that. -
In the early 90s Lublin was the first club in Poland that signed a foreign rider. They aimed very high and signed the world champion, Hans Nielsen. That was then, Lublin was riding at the top level. Today Lublin rides in the Polish 3rd Division, but they are still as ambitious as ever. They want a promotion, and for this reason they signed England's top u-21 rider, Robert LambertEveryone in Lublin was looking forward with anticipation for his debut, and they were not disappointed. Robert made his debut last Sunday and it was very successful. Robert scored a maximum points, and his team won against Poznan 58:32. The English rider is very happy with his result, especially when one takes into consideration that before the season he practiced in Lublin only for two days. - For the Lublin trtack I have prepared one special engine - confessed Lambert on SportoweFakty.pl - which has proved to me its value. I would like to maintain this sort of level in home matches , because they will certainly get more difficult, " said Lambert after the competition. Numerous supporters at the Lublin track welcomed him very warmly on the pre-match presentation . The atmosphere on the stands made a great impression on the British rider. It was something not seen so far in in his riding life . - "We did a great job as a team. I like how everyone in Lublin behaved towards me. Coach Darek Sledz is a great man, and the whole team helped me to set in. At first they were a bit shy, but then everything went as it should. Also the fans warmly greeted me and I would like to thank them for that. I am very happy, " concluded Robert Lambert.
