Thanks to Doc for making my trip that much more enjoyable and for accompanying me back to the centre (for a drink or two or three) :? The walk was ok but I hope your knee is OK now, Doc. I haven't got your email address, you'll have to email me via the forum with it (if you wish). That was the second bar we were in Doc, the first being the hotel bar. If we had looked at the posters on the wall to start with I'm sure we would have known what kind of pub it was. As for the stadium I thought it was very good. Very good views for me, near the bar and the toilet and families around me. Had a great weekend in Copenhagen, seen the Mermaid, GP, met 4 forum members, had a trip to the brewery, had a smorrebrod (using just my fingers, what a mess but nice )and stayed in a very nice hotel. And to top it all Tommy Knudsen was in my hotel

The light on the controls was still showing that it was still open Went out with Rico, Tomek and Doc. Nice to meet you all Don't know what you were all talking about, they were very well behaved. Although I must admit I went off at 10pm as the last 36 hours without sleep had caught up on me. So they could have got up to anything after then but I'll find out all the gossip from Doc today

Well, I'm here. Must have sat on the tarmac at Stansted for nearly a hour. A few speedway supporters about. Scott Nicholls was on my flight. Never sussed out who Doc was but hope to find out tonight.

Rico At least the 100DKK notes are a brown/orange colour and the 50DKK notes are blue/green colour. They look similar to our £10 and £5 so thats my noddy guide. Not seen any coins yet though.

Joanne that's where we stayed this year it's on the 21 (&23) Cardiff Bus routes and Rwibina railway station is nearby. Taxi on Sunday cost us £8 to get to Bus & Train Stations. Thanks BTL. Did you walk to the train station on GP day? And how did you get to Newport from there? What was the Inn Keepers like anyway? The Travel Inn was a bit stuffy. We're in the Inn Keepers Lodge. Don't know exactly how to get to the stadium from there but it can't be that bad as I noticed a few people were using it this year. Tried the Big Sleep Hotel, they were quoting me £95 per night for the disabled room which was the only one suitable for us three. The Travel Inn and Lodges (Central) ones are fully booked already for family rooms. Shazzy, I am the opposite of you. I'm trying to spend some time with my kids. Don't get to see them enough what with school and computer games etc although my son did bring his laptop to the Travel Inn. FT, have you told the Princes of Wales that you'll be supping more beer? They ran out of lager this year so will be wanting to get a few more barrels in for next year

Thought the racing was as good as to be expected. Heats 1-8 are always like that. It's not really the racing we go to Cardiff for, it's the atmosphere. And the organisers are to blame for the toning down of that. They didn't want it too noisey. I managed to jump and down a few times so the racing couldn't have been that bad, especially when I realised that Rickardsson had burst through the tapes (Sorry Gemini, hope I didn't give you too much of a shock ) Great views of the track and brilliant company with the Forum lot. Thanks FD Nice to meet so many new faces at the two pubs. On the whole, my kids and I have had a brilliant weekend. Only thing is I'm off work now sick with flu or something like that. I feel awful :-( Starting to think that Cardiff doesn't agree with me. First year I went on the bus and was a zombie for the week after and last year I had terrible toothache and ended up with an abcess :-( Still it's worth it, I'll be going back next year.
