Sadly too typical. There's a chance, against all odds for Workington to come back and all most of the BSF can do is try to prove it won't happen. Then as icing on the foul cake start speculating negatively about the 2021 season over six months before that season starts. I've lost my team twice, at Rayleigh at Rye House. Idf someone came up with a plan for a new home my only thought would be "How can I help", not "How can I put everybody off". Shameful.

Never directly. Certainly not the like the lengthy lecture we got on the subject of the pairs competition when it was rightly criticised for being a pointless addition to a crowded international schedule. There was a lesser case this year. I've comments such as "We have to thank One Sport for their superb organisation ". I can't recall ever having heard BSI being mentioned by Pearson & Tatum. I haven't heard this kind of endorsement in other sports that I follow from the commentary teams which should be there to serve the viewer and channel, not the event organisers. No doubt there'll be another lecture to come in due course. Bias takes many forms. The job of a commentary team is to report on what they observe, not be spokesmen for the organisers. -

Well it makes a change from him and Rowe endorsing One Sport. ;-) -

That You Tube link is expected to continue into the Lodz-Ostrow match, although it's currently showing football in the gap between matches. -

Additional feed on You Tube. You can change settings to as high as 1080 if your connection is fast enough. -

It's clear that Sweden faces a rider shortage. With British and some Aussie riders kicking their heels here might it be a useful compromise to satisfy both needs? -

I've checked Podkarpacie TV's You Tube page and there's nothing there at all. It must have been a case of producing a live link which for a while served as a link to a recording of the match then was wiped. So, it looks like going forward it's only going to be useful for live links rather then on demand. -

That's bizarre. I just watched the downloaded version and it was today's match. Will investigate. -

Podkarpacie TV streamed it live on You Tube. Sadly I only found out after it had finished. I've subscribed to their channel and will monitor it in future weeks. In the past they used to show Rzeszow and Krosno matches. The match can also be watched now. I've put the link in the Polish speedway videos thread to avoid cluttering this. -

I think you'll find the content he uses mainly comes from Twitter, not here. Yes r&r does a superb job but it's useful to and welcome to have Dave's comments. Absolutely no point in making it difficult for him to post here by insulting his employers excessively, unless that's what you enjoy. It's just a matter of using a bit of intelligence and, if it's not too much to ask, respect? -
Swedish Elitserien 2020

I assume we're talking about the ESS streaming service. When I signed up in June to get the Polish racing in error they agreed to suspend my account and refund my June payment until the Elitserien started in August. I'll send a message to my contact to find out exactly what's going on. If they're not carrying speedway I'll need the suspended contract cancelling. We're not actually dealing with ESS which is the Swedish equivalent of the BSPL. It's a streaming company that acts for them. I'll see what I can do in the morning. If they aren't carrying the matches that's six matches a week out of my schedule. Eight matches a week for about £16 per month was going to be quite a bargain. -

You forget BSF negativity is just being 'realistic'. It's a wonder they ever leave their homes. All kinds of things can happen. Just being realistic ;-)

Had confirmation from Andrew Skeels at the Speedway Star that they're expecting their Swedish correspondent to include a preview of the Swedish season in next week's edition. I've suggested he makes sure that the new heat formula is discussed along with the differences between the leagues in Sweden and here. It's clear from Polish threads here that a similar exercise could have been a valid feature n the Star when Poland started up. The Star needs and deserves readers and if it can act as a guide to what people are watching on TV and online it might help in a small way.

Thank you for this Dave. I think we know how flexible PS/FS' schedules have to be. Channel and time would be greatly appreciated please. I see PS2 has two hour slots at 2 am and 4 am, currently allocated to last weekend's matches. -

On a separate matter, following a record rise in Covid cases in Poland they are considering reintroducing quarantining for persons arrived from some countries. There is no list yet of which countries may be included. Hopefully they find they don't need to.
