  1. I would love to see David Norris in the gp's but the likley hood of us getting 3 places out of 5 is very slim. It would be a dream to see Lee, Scott & David in the GP'S as i feel all are capable of winning a gp? I feel Mark Loram would be better suited to the new format of gp but im not sure he'll get the chance, and i for 1 will really miss him, but i know he's still so consistent and great in domestic & swc level. I also like the form of simon stead and im sure he'll be one to look out for in the future, but at present Scott Nicholls still stands as number 1 brit in my eyes!!! kaz xx <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Rightly said kaz. People seem to forget that scotty had an horrendous injury at the start of the season and a lot of people i have spoken to have jumped on the "scott not the top brit" bandwagon.
  2. Except the airfences at Ippo that is! Wot air fences at Ippo???? Fair point.
  3. Its like when footballers dive. No-one likes it but everyone does it cos it helps win matches. Its part and parcel of the game. It seems as though now, tactical riding is part and parcel of speedway.
  4. dtc, i'm intruigued by your idea for a British Team Championship, but perhaps if a PL Team was drawn against an EL Team, the PL Team automatically gets home advantage. That way it would even it out a bit, and allow for some upsets.
  5. Wow! I could never put my finger on it, but you're right. He DOES look like a wolf! thats nothin, you oughta see my regulars here at sandmans bar grill and bait shop after 10 pm, welcome to hell town only if ya been whipped up on by an ugly stick for a month or two.. sam definately would not even come close to qualifying.. this thread just gets curiouser and curiouser..number one song on the juke box is welcome to the jungle, by guns and roses..... Are we talking Martin Keown ugly here?

  7. It seems as though most of the time, Muppet Millard is at another track watching another meeting!
  8. And that seems like a fine order to put the Polish talent in. I'd certainly rate Pepe the 2nd best Polish rider, but then again I might be biased. He hasn't been going especially well in the GPs though, has he. Jarek Hampel is definitely the better rider this season - and he's more likely to well on the Eastbourne and Poole tracks, as he is good around the smaller circuits.
  9. It's sometimes the case that the co-commentator has a meeting to get to, and therefore probably wouldn't be able to fly out to the GPs. I remember one such occasion when Kelvin Tatum was in the commentary box, having ridden earlier that day in a meeting himself, and so wouldn't have had time to fly out. A sure fire indication that the commentators stay well and truly in the country.
  10. Looking at it from a cynical view, perhaps the sight of JC a mile in front with Hancock a million miles behind swung the balance!! Or maybe he thought Hancock was going to try and run him over! Either way, it was very sporting of NP to get out of the way in time.
