  1. if its like the first semi scotty it should be denmark in white and USA in yellow. But speedway is never that simple
  2. This meeting will be too close to call. There is the possibility that EVERY team could at some point have to use the joker system. I would love the GB team to qualify - but I have a sneaky feeling that the Danes will qualify and the Poles will sneak through. Dont underestimate the Poles - Hampel, Gollob and Pepe will be ok at Reading - and if they use Janusz as well they will be stronger than people think. Gating will be very important and thats where GB might be let down
  3. Like Rob I enjoyed it from about heat 9 to 10 onwards. Some terrific racing tonight - such a shame we missed out by a point but thats the way it goes - the boys rode hard - but the Aussies just had enough. And re the comment about the format and the aussies getting gate 1 in heat 24 and 25 - if the inside gate wasnt working very well then we wouldnt be complaining would we At the end of the 25 heats the Aussies had more than us - end of.
  4. So to rephrase the question britpete - you must have been sweating when Poland were leading going into Heat 25
  5. Does anyone know the capacity though SCB. It could be dramatically reduced meaning tickets only. At the start of the year i;m sure I read somewhere the plan was for temporary seating on the back straight - well as far as I am aware the old stand is still there. Can anyone confirm?
  6. Wow I will get to meet my first millionaire Well I presume you are with that itinerary

  9. To be fair the first draft was 1. Crump (Guest) 2. Pedersen (Guest) 3. rider Replacement 4. Adams (Guest) 5. Hampel (Guest) but i didnt think I would get away with that!!
  10. The Chivsy Travel Team GB Squad would be 1. Nicholls 2. Richardson 3. Loram 4. Stead 5. Rider Replacement
  11. Whilst I agree that Hans should have been given another crack, why is this just another thread stating the same point? Hans isnt in this season - end of. This will probably do him a favour in the long run by making him even more hungry and determined next year. However if he still wants to play the "bad guy" role, then he will still need to realise that he isnt exactly the most popular in the speedway world. And earlier in the thread falcace said Hancock had seen better days......this guy has very nearly won the last 3 Grand Prixs - these are his best days since his World Champion year of 1997.
  12. Well it was a busy weekend, but it was certainly a good one. The weather certainly picked up on the right weekend and it made the Friday and Saturday both really nice days. Meeting wise I enjoyed it. I know the man made tracks are more unpredictable, but for me this means more throttle control and riders having to use their heads a bit more. The odd slip from a top rider proves how difficult the conditions are, but for me it made the meeting more enjoyable. Crumpy was the quickest rider on view and certainly was worth the win, although I think the majority of the crowd felt a bit of sympathy for Greg (again) and Jarek. The "Chivsy Travel" group had a good laugh and I think everyone enjoyed themselves, and have already had some 10 extra people ask about coming next year - just got to decide if i can be bothered to arrange it again Give it a few weeks I'm sure I'll come around to the idea again
  13. But that means I can only sign it with one x give it 2 minutes at least please
  14. Shawn, I will make myself available at 2pm till 2.30pm for autographs if that makes you feel happier Love Chivsy
  15. Heats which will be worth looking out for: Heat 1: Stead vs Gollob and Rickardsson Heat 2: Nicholls vs Adams, Jonsson and Hancock Heat 7: Nicholls and Richardson vs Rickardsson and Crump Heat 13: Nicholls vs Pedersen - add in Gollob and Zagar Heat 20: Richardson vs the 2 Pedersens and Adams
  16. I hope they are Robbo Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, George Benson - fabulous pre meeting entertainment
  17. But you said both Vog and SCB dropped out Two of the biggest old women on here
  18. I think someone like Bjarne or Andreas could make the final tonight and at 25/1 and 33/1 respectively they could be worth a dabble.
  19. Ross If we are travelling back we have always parked in Newport - there is a shopping centre over the road from the Newport train station. I think it cost about 3.50 return to cardiff - much easier when you come out the stadium and also cuts out a decent bit of the M4.
  20. I did forget Matthew you are correct F4E Thats another for the list
