It's quite probable that SKY knows the audience for speedway and that it doesn't have much appeal to the general sports fans . I suspect it's almost entirely watched by committed ( or should be ) speedway fans and if so , SKY doesn't need to advertise to the sports captive audience . Or maybe not .

Looking at the uniform and precise way all the riders take the corners , never getting out of shape or throwing their bikes around , i'd suggest Daniel Davidsson may be better suited to Autoracing .

Sorry Grachan , the main part of my post was basically a repeat of your link , whence the deletion . Thats how to advertise a sport , i love her madcap hat . Watching some of the post race celebrations , it seems most of the punters are less than bothered . Are they perhaps holders of losing tickets ?

Thanks Grachan , a well written and enjoyable review of Japanese autoracing . The differences between the two codes of short-track bike racing seem to be larger than the similarities , the two sets of fans watching for fundametally different reasons ( gambling vs team sport ) . Other than for novelty value , i can't see any major crossover appeal for the respective sports.

A small E/W punt on Anderson will do for me , adds an extra edge to the tv viewing . Shan't be getting involved in the heat betting , i gamble far to much at poker as it is.

Ladbrokes showing Anderson at 15.0 (each-way 1/4 odds for 1st 3 places) , worth a tickle methinks .
