King’s Lynn vs Sheffield, May 16th 2024

Yeah. That’s a fair point. At belle Vue if there as been a slight bit of rain during the day people stay away even though they know even a heavy deluge doesn’t stop us racing. -

What I don’t understand. growing up as a kid kings lynn and buster was always know to be the club and guy that no matter the weather was during the day he could take all the water and grip off and re-lay the track in 1 hour. where as that buster gone??? -
Well. Your getting your change you wanted. wont make you better though. Can’t be worse than milik though
-
We will get battered. Outlet guys that do good here for us usually have left so will be a tough task. The stock cars was on this weekend so the track will be a lottery also. Also means gate 3 you will have no chance lol

What’s your problem with Lampart. I actually didn’t think he did to badly today. He’s definitely worth keeping with and giving a season over here. You will reap the benefits of that next season. Regarding milik and PP yes they were poor. But honestly. It’s takes a long time to find set ups that will work over here. For one they not use to these tyres that alone affects scores and riding ability. They need time. But unfortunately I don’t think brummies have the time at hand really. it might be the less superior league but it’s the hardest and most technical league.

Birmingham’s very first visit to NSS this. could be a banana skin for us this. Especially if milik finally shows up

Which is what JYe said. He probably left his car at stanstead and was going to drive up. And I know for sure in past Jason always travels to belle Vue in his own car when -

So Doyle’s flight is delayed and can’t get here. lidsey in same meeting as Doyle last night is over here already. looking at flights. Doyle’s flight was due to land at stanstead at half 12. Get out of the airport approx 1pm then got a 5 hour drive in busy traffic to get here. What a weird way to travel to Manchester. Something fishy. also they get a facility of 75% of his average. Why did Oxford not get this last week or did they not want to use that facility. -

I just don’t understand the mindset in using the reason of rain when every single fan as access to all the available weather apps Crazy. Wouldn’t have been better to use the pit gate track again -

Yep. British protocol is concussion means no tracing on these shores for 9 days. in Poland you can race right away as long as you have a pulse -

Rain in morning clearing in afternoon and evening. So should be ok. Albeit it will be very grippy again. the good few days weather we have will have prepared the track nicely to take the morning rain -
Definitely the right call. Heavy rain most of the day. Very windy and bloody cold. No way the track would have dried out. So correct call
-
Weather looks dreadful. Weather will win sadly
-
After the afternoon showers rain should clear about 4 and be dry all night till 10pm so should be all good to go
-
Weather looks worse now sadly.

They said that last week against Sheffield and we was watering the track before the start. I never take notice of what they say. met office as some rain in morning and chance of light rain into evening. But nothing to cause any problems really

Aces v Sheffield 01/04/24
Phil The Ace replied to Cue Ball's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
We haven’t had heavy rain as of yet and I’m about 5 miles from track. The weather been perfect last few days here so track would have been prepped for this and as we know we can take alot of water. im edging towards it being on myself. But the result will be a lottery now -
Belle Vue Colts v Leicester Lion Cubs
Phil The Ace replied to secsy1's topic in National League Speedway
Yes. It wasn’t a good look for us. Very rare indeed. the start Marshall’s were standing in as our normal ones were away regarding the track. And this is a massive bug bare of mine and this is my opinion why a lot of riders never make the step up from NL to premiership. that track was absolutely spot on yesterday despite all the rain we had. The premiership boys would have loved that. but because the youth system and NL give all these youngsters tracks like motorways they don’t know how to ride when there is a bit of grip. they then have to learn how to ride with grip in competitive action thus knocking there confidence and eventually being lost to the sport. so I dont like doing this but I blame the riders for not having the skill to race and not the track itself. -

Cancelling a practice after doing a few meetings already is totally different to cancelling the first 2 fixtures
