Phil The Ace replied to ZagarRacing's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Its only a 5 point average if he does the 1 meeting away at swindon otherwise it's only 4 We have left -
FFS Geoffrey. Give it a rest.

We have had some shocking crowds when the weather has played a part but the crowds ain't as bad as you think, People just look at only 2 blocks being full in grandstand and think there's only a few 100 there. But in fact there is about 800. And that's just grandstand. South stand is usually full with probably a good 800-100 in there. Regarding finances I don't know much about them but did hear they lost 80k last year. But that was alot less then previous year. They are hoping to gradually bring it down to break even within 5 years. How they will do that I'm not sure as they are not particularly good at promoting like every other promoter. But Adrian is a clever men. I'm sure he has something up his sleeve. And for anyone thinking he's ready to jump ship and they are not committed. Adrian for 2 years has lived in a hotel all week away from his family that he/club pay for. But now he's buying a house not far from the track to live up here. So clearly they are here for the long haul

That's exactly how it will happen. He will ride 1 meeting on borrowed machinery etc then we will replace him with a rider up to 5.5ish. Personally don't like the sound of it as I would rather win fair but as shown last year. Cheating is now allowed
-
Yes, from what I gather Somerset have tried and tried to contact him but have failed to do so on many times. Do t think his heart is in it TBH.
-
Berge has quit somerset
-
Or released for a higher averaged rider
-
Do you know that after 1 meeting Berges rolling average goes up to 5.5!! Who can we get in then? Garrity??
-
Ok I know i have rose tinted glasses on and I know I'm obviously biased but I really like the look of this team. Should easily make play offs. A happy bjerre is a good bjerre whatever age he may be. He's happy at belle vue. He will be fine. Fricke should carry on improving and I see us as having the best top 2 in league for them heat 13s and 15s. Worrall and bewley are a risk but I believe they will be fine. Especially Worrall who's made a change to his background staff and now has his best mate as mechanic. Will only help him that. And in his words he is now 100% fit. He will be a great 2nd string. And bewley shows no fear. He will be fine. Wells is an interesting one. I kinda like him and think he's just what we need personally, goes about his business quietly been no2 in premier league for years now so clearly he can ride a bike. Berge will start a top flight season for the first time. Will help him that. He's good for at least 4/5 a meeting and lidsey will be an absolute steal on his average. I expect him to easily average well over 5.

Surely tungate will now be on his way. Or maybe bellego -
Kyle will be there for sure I bet And no way they will get rid of cook
-
Oh right. What a stupid bloody rule that is.
-
Surely he has to come in on his assessed 5npoint average he used last year. Berge is coming in on his assessed 4 point average he used for us last year. And not his converted average

Great team on paper. And on paper they will be team to beat. Things ain't won on paper though and with BWD, barker and harris all not particularly liking cook then that could cause a few problems down the line -
How many small tracks are they. 1 only. Don't need small track riders anymore
-
Very happy with the team myself. Good top 2. Only just behind Swindon for top 2 Very good 2nd strings in wells and Worrall. Bewley is a big risk. But by play off time he should be back into the swing of things. And its deffo a risk worth taking. Berge is a bit meh. But at belle vue He will be a good reserve. Lidsey will be dynamite. Can't wait to see him fly round belle vue.

There was a video of him showing us weight bearing and walking
