The former CEO took over the world-famous Manchester club in late 2006 together with Chris Morton and Gordon Pairman and has been in control of the iconic Aces for the past ten seasons. In that time the team have experienced many ups and downs, but it was in the latter half of his tenure that they produced some of their best, most memorable performances in Elite League competition. The 2015 and 2016 seasons saw the Rentruck Aces successfully qualify for the end-of-season Play Offs even topping the table this year while completing both campaigns with the silver medal. And it was thanks to the collective efforts of Gordon and Morton over a near-ten year period that the building of the National Speedway Stadium, home of the Belle Vue Aces, was finally brought to life. Despite a rocky start to its life, the venue has produced some very fine racing has played host to a variety of high-profile events such as the 2016 British Final and the 2016 Speedway World Cup.
