  1. Ellis shouldn't miss any fixtures if signed before the season begins. Assuming he gets a Premiership spot those fixtures will be on a Monday & Thursday only. The only reason his Danish fixtures took precidence this year was because he was signed midseason having already committed to the Danish fixtures. British league as his "domestic" will always take precidence. Garrity's parent club (which I assume is Scunthorpe since the sad demise of the Bee's from Brandon) should get the option to sign him first. But it is really upto the rider.
  2. It's also probably miles over the imposed points limit. Here you go... Adam Ellis 7.65 Jason Garrity 7.49 Tero Aarnio 6.67 Paco Castagna 5.59 Ashley Morris 5.46 James Shanes 5.20 38.06 No room for another heat leader (average higher than Aarnio) unless the points limit is nearly 45.
  3. Agreed. Unless it is just wooden spoon avoidance.
  4. While Shanes was riding well and we were treated to a decent race between the Brummies captain & Kerr, I thought it harsh taking Jenkins out of heat 14. Brummies only needed a 2-4 to secure the win and there was no way Castagna would have been beaten by Edwards. Jenkins might have beaten Edwards also. Jenkins is not going to get any better without competitive laps.
  5. Track needs a bit more clay to blind it & hold water, it was neither warm nor windy tonight but was drying out quick.
  6. Thinking back, Kennett did pass Castagna in heat 5 but only because the Italian was riding too conservatively narrow. Bit of a rut on the inside in the middle of turn 4 seemed to develop, caught a few riders out at some point tonight.
  7. James Shanes, take a bow. 3 from the back wins including heat 15 & race of the night with Newman in heat 12. Didn't think this meeting was as entertaining as the Glasgow visit to Perry Barr. Jenkins won't be averaging much more than 2.00 on that form, very slow, just not as slow as Edwards. The rest of the Brummies did their job, life is much better with 3 rather than 1 heat leader. Newman for me was the pick of the visitors, would have put him heat 15 instead of Lawson or Kennett who were decent when they gated but never looked like making a pass. Lawson a bit naughy, chopping Castagna's nose off down the back straight lap 1 in heat 9 when the Italian looked to have the momentum to take the lead. I thought Kerr was disappointing. Wood won heat 1 but then did nothing. Track very thirsty, oddly dusty as bend 3 turns into bend 4.
  8. I've finally seen a home win. Czestochowians will be relieved.
  9. BIRMINGHAM: Adam Ellis, Nick Agertoft, Tero Aarnio, Paco Castagna, Jason Garrity, Jordan Jenkins, James Shanes. EASTBOURNE: Edward Kennett, Georgie Wood, Kyle Newman, Lewis Kerr, Richard Lawson, Alfie Bowtell, Jason Edwards.
  10. Surely Brummies are subject to a curfew at 22:00 like most clubs, 19:00 to 22:00 is only 3 hours. The One Stop does have enormous speed bumps, it's worth knowing that before you go.
  11. Lawson, Kennett, Kerr & Newman I know. Wood I've seen on the TV. What to expect from Bowtell & Edwards?
  12. I figured out how to get past it but only in time to see Wozniak go backwards and Zmarzlik & Kurtz ruin AJ's paid max. Didn't get home til late tonight due to Badminton politics.
  13. Michelson qualify means no Danish permanent WC. I'd take him in GP's over NKI on current form but he's not having a good year in SEC. Lambert & Fricke have failed to deliver as reserves when called upon this GP season. But I'd take them over the others. As maligned & limited as he is Bellego was good entertainment in the SEC until he was Pedersened.
  14. So Eastbourne visit Perry Barr, not sure what to expect from them TBH only know if Kennett, Newman & Lawson. All could be decent at Birmingham or pants. Guessing Kennett & Newman will hit the outside, Lawson curb creep. Is Adam Ellis likely to be fit, guessing not but sometimes riders recover from collar bone breaks quickly. If not who guests? Please not R/R. Will I finally see Aarnio ride Perry Barr or another replacement. Will I finally see a home win?
  15. Given up on BV? Not a single post from a Wolves fan since the meeting ended.
  16. I doubt Brummies have enough meetings left for him to get an average. Or is 4 home, 4 away enough?
  17. Bydgoszcz airport is close, then Poznan & Gdansk are not disasterous. Sure enough hotels in Torun.
  18. Regardless of whether Lublin beat Gorzow in Lublin next weekend, Lublin will get nothing in GrudziÄ…dz on the final weekend.
  19. Surely won't run against Torun GP so will be 06/10. As it will either be Lublin or Gorzow v Rybnik, guess got to hope for Gorzow hosting if planning to attend post GP and the map of Poland in my head is correct.
