The racing wasn't great on Saturday. It has been a few years since I've been to a Cardiff GP (2008 I think) but it seemed to me that it was done more on a budget than previously, but perhaps I've been spoiled by the slickness of Poland in recent years. The date for next year looks an absolute nightmare, right at the start of the School Holidays.

Aarnio rode for Scunthorpe in 2017 according to the averages on the BSPA site.

Kurtz & Holder probably outscored Iversen who didn't win a race. Harris was all over Klindt when the chain snapped, any kind of mistake by Klindt could have seen Harris pass. Richie Hawkins contributed more to the margin of victory than anyone other than Grajczonek.

Guess it depends what other offers he may get.

Danyom Hume is worth a punt at reserve on 3.27 IMO. Bit erratic bit but certainly quick.

Why so keen on Aarnio? Newman is another on a similar average to Morris, Castagna & Shanes (5.00-5.50).

What average would Luke Becker be assessed with? I haven't seen Tobias Thomsen ride, but I certainly don't think Nick Agertoft is worth a place in the team on 4.00 average. Morris, Castagna & Shanes all have similar averages so it would be difficult to fit them all in with one at reserve (5:00-5:50). Ashley Morris was injured by the time I was able to start attending but of the two I have seen I'd much prefer to watch James Shanes on a weekly basis than Paco Castagna. That said I think if Castagna could be fitted in at #2 he'd do a decent job there as he doesn't like to leave the curb and #2's meeting finishes earlier. Wide dirt lines do take a while to develop.

Bydgoszcz is the closest airport to Torun. I think they sealed promotion via the play-offs yesterday so I imagine their season is finished.

I like Dave Rowe, I prefer his commentary to anyone else. I don't enjoy listening to Sam Ermolenko, he's not quite as bad as Tatum.

I thought the racing was awful. Seen much better at that odd shaped track in the past. The outside dirt line appeared for heats 19 & 20 only and the regrading before the semi's & final eliminated it. Yes the Ekstraliga format does aid the young Poles but it is not all down to that, didn't Eliteserin have something similar & there are hardly any young Swedes looking like prospects. Having watched more Swedish league racing this year than I ever have before only Hellstrom-Bangs comes to mind. I have to wonder how fit Lambert is, a shadow of the rider that won the SEC event at that venue last year.
