  1. Because Wolves riders can't set their bikes up for wet conditions? Thorsell displayed his 2019 playoff form. Longitudinal & latitudinal lines were expectedly irrelevant to any sensible speedway observer. Steve... Did I or did I not having watched the Eliteserin playoffs predict that Thorsell would perform equally as disappointingly for Wolves as he did for Dackarna? Which even you have to agree he did..
  2. Well done to Swindon for adapting better to the awful conditions, particularly Musielak. Poles often go missing on damp, cold UK nights in Autumn when their domestic season is over but he was superb. Hats off to Luke Becker, made the meeting worth watching. Great attitude. Shame the conditions made it a farce, but it had to go ahead at some point.
  3. He certainly brought his Swedish playoff form to the GB playoffs, as I thought he would.
  4. It was dry in Warsaw for the GP last year, we spent 3 days in Kraków a few days later and it rained none stop. Be careful of tourists on scooters (& tourist scooters abandoned seemingly everywhere).
  5. If it is the same website as last year, paying for the tickets is a challenge. My only tip was use MS IE as a browser, I found the payment link easier using that. I couldn't find it at all using Chrome.
  6. Which is understandable, that is where the big money is. I imagine if Hancock rides in the Nice 1 lż a team will sign Becker & Hancock. Otherwise I can't imagine he'll get a Polish team place outside third tier.
  7. That's what we did this year. If I have the option I do that with any ticketed events.
  8. It is normally my preference to sit as high as possible, which we did this year. But I'd actually sit lower if I attended again, the view was great but it felt as if the action was a long way away.
  9. Roof was closed this year and not a whiff of rain on the day if memory serves me correctly.
  10. Wilcards are Hancock, Woffinden, Laguta & Lindback. Didn't realise that was announced last night apologies for repeat.
  11. It is raining in Wolverhampton this morning and it looks like we've had a fair amount over night.
  12. Lindback & Lambert both had poor 2019's compared to 2018, I expect them to be perform better in 2020. Neither however deserve a permanent wildcard in the GP's at this time.
  13. Probably because Lambert proved himself at the top level with silver in the SoN & bronze in the SEC. Drabik & Smektala may have outperformed him in the U21 but just look at the careers of Robert Miśkowiak, Karol Ząbik & Dawid Kujawa all U21 Champions that careers plummeted once they were no longer protected by being Ekstraliga reserves.
  14. Yet it was the closest contested GP series I can remember, World Championship decided in the semi finals of the final GP of the series.
  15. Not checked but I'm sure his Swedish & Polish league averages put him as one of the top 15 riders, plus a second consecutive SoN gold, but from what I've seen he's little other than a gater. If there is a gap that might get closed he doesn't go for it & simply isn't aggressive enough to compete at the very top level.
  16. Michelson is most deserving of a Wild Card after Woffinden. I think Hancock would have to prove himself in league speedway before he gets back in the GP's but maybe he'll get one. There is no obvious deserving rider. It's no to an Artem Laguta Wildcard for me.
  17. Securing the tickets was easy enough for this years Warsaw GP, figuring out how to pay for the damn things was a pain in the arse! If they use the same seller as last year make sure you use Internet Explorer rather than any other browser, their website wasn't exactly compatible with Chrome as the payment link didn't appear. Most of the site is fairly well translated but not all, I was very glad I work with a Polish girl because I'm not sure I'd have found the link had it not been for her.
  18. Looks like Torun are determined to get back in the Ekstraliga at the first attempt. Wonder which senior Poles Czestachowa will look to sign, losing Miedziński and Przedpełski was hardly banging in big scores.
  19. Do those riders not ride in their domestic leagues? If their countries have domestic leagues! I know Denmark do, I assume Russia do. Yet, I don't believe a rider has become World Champion while only riding in Poland. Obviously I am assuming here that Zmarzlik will be crowned champion on Saturday.
  20. Not that I'm aware of. Holder rode for Torun who were relegated a month ago at least. The only remaining Polish fixtures are the playoffs. Gorzow v Ostrovia & Poznan v Lodz.
