Bash the Bookie SEC finals Competition 2020
Col replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Gniezno... Ljung £150 less. Woryna £150 less. Laguta £100 more. -
At least Bjerre cared enough to pas both Lublin reserves in heat 15.
-
Oh no.. he decided to finish heat 14 with the only intention of knocking Meisiac off should he dare to try to pass him.
-
Think Pedersen has retired on lap two of every heat he's been in.
-
Blue should have been excluded heat 12.
-
Bjerre excluded heat 8?
-
Finally getting chance to watch Lublin v Grudziadz. One question, we've seen enough of this to judge now,. Most out of form rider: MJJ, Lindback, Buczkowski or Fricke?

Ok now? Sorry been a few days since I checked in. -
Just finished my YouTubing of this weekend action. Until heat 11 when Wozniak & J Holder got a 1-5 over MJJ & Lindback FZG v Gorzow was very much Zmarzlik in Colonel Custer mode with his team mates only just getting the better of the home reserves. Zmarzlik himself was far from his peerless best, Holder looked an improvement on Kasprzak who is having a worse season than Wozniak, Thomsen & perhaps even Iversen from what I've seen. Holder's final two rides were much more impressive, can't see Kasprzak being recalled at his expense. For the home team Vaculik looks in good form, Dudek & Protasiewicz are reliable back-ups but Lindback & MJJ must be a concern.

I don't think you can really lay any blame on Doyle for heat 14, Lindgren had checked out in front, Doyle was doing great at holding off both visitors until he lifted which allowed them both past, he still made up ground on them. He hadn't looked quick all night until that point. Madsen was not having a good night, no Miskowiak and Holta was awful. Just think Czestchowa suffered at the hands complacency going into the meeting. Zagar had a point to prove to his former club, Michelsen & Laguta always look hungry & Hampel can mix it when he makes the gate (or if the opponents don't). Still think Czestchowa are Leszno's only title rivals, Lublin may sneak into the playoffs at the expense of FZG & Grudziądz, if they can win all their home matches (except Leszno).
-
Heat 9. Doyle not quick enough and stuffs Predpelski momentum, is he looking for a team spot at Grudziądz?
-
When I saw the heat times, heat 1 was quickest then heat 2 won by a visiting reserve. Another good Swidnicki effort to hold off Zagar for 3.5 laps!
-
Well the SGP facebook has posted spoilers for both Sunday matches before I've watched them. ********. Lublin winning in Częstochowa is a surprise, only up to heat 5 when I guess is where it all started to go wrong for the Lions. Where is Miskowiak? Still impressed with what I've seen from Swidnicki. Did watch the end of Rybnik v Leszno, thankfully the last few heats were decent. Lambert can catch Sayfutdinov but not Kołodziej, very odd.
-
Half way through Rybnik v Leszno, not sure I'll other with the rest of it! Very predictable, as was Grudziądz defeat in Wroclaw. Only really Bjerre & Laguta for the home team to concern themselves with, typified by Pedersen & Pawlicki battling each other for a solitary point in one heat.
-
Now looks like Woffinden is doing a few laps, but it look s dark... then again it's 21:15 local time.
-
As they're re-showing Rybnik v Leszno I'm guessing no action from Wroclaw tonight?
-
I' Don't many South Eastern Swedes catch a 2 hour ferry to the Baltic nations to do their weekly shop? Quite sensible. Lot's of Brit's do a booze cruise to France to stock up on wine. Poland seems cheap to Brit's, because your average product is cheaper, the same can be said for most of Europe, mostly due to less tax. Scandinavia & Iceland are quite the opposite.

When Gorzow v Częstochowa take 2?
-
Wroclaw v FZG Thought heat 2 was a nailed on 5-1 but fair play to Krakowiak held on under pressure. Great ride Woffinden after missing the gate in heat 3. Good first corner cut back from Protasiewicz for a surprise 1-5. Heat 7, poor ride from Dudek practically invited Janowski through. Vaculik shed a chain in heat 9? Heat 10, much better from Dudek but what on earth is wrong with Fricke easily out paced by Krakowiak? Good first lap from Vaculik heat 12 resisted Drabik and forceful move to pass Chugunov. Chugunov doesn't look impressed and I can't say I blame him. Difficult one to call this going into nominated riders because almost all the better riders have had at least one good ride and at least one poor ride. MJJ over Lindback, interesting. Holder/Chugunov over Drabik. Not what I'd have gone for. Good ride Dudek, MJJ unsurprisingly tailed off. Vaculik needs to win heat 15 I would think if FZG are to get a draw, would be very surprised if Protasiewicz defeats Woffinden or Janowski. Great ride Vaculik to win it especially as he let Protasiewicz have gate 1 (not that I've seen gate stats), great effort from Woffinden chasing.

Deserved win for Leszno, after their only real rivals Częstochowa had a blip on Friday, they showed why they are the Champions. Grudziądz (reserves aside) have as much speedway talent as any other team, they just ride as individuals not as a team. I'll watch Wroclaw v FZG in the morning.
-
Rookie mistake in the last corner of heat 14 from Kubera gives home team a sniff of a draw. Should just have followed Bjerre, Pawlicki wouldn't have passed him on the outside.
-
Grudziądz VS Leszno now. Tremendously brave first corner from Sayfutdinov, not sure I'd hold my nerve on the outside of Pedersen for that long but it allowed Bjerre & Smektala to nip through then blocked by his Leszno team mate on bends 3/4 meant it costthe Russian big time. Tremendous battle between the Pawlicki brothers in heat 3 & Laguta joined in after overcoming Kołodziej. Good first corner from Buczkowski in heat 4, didn't make the gate but it didn't matter, Lidsey not showing his home form. Much better from Lidsey in heat 5 under early pressure from two former GP riders who both missed the gate and then got in each others way. Grudziądz team manager must be pulling his hair out. Good ride by Pi Pawlicki heat 7 to split home pair. Laguta looking slow, Leszno pair tremendous again, until EF. I predict that is the first and last time a home reserve will finish in front of a visitor. Bjerre too conservative, invited Kubera past, again Grudziądz manager must be frustrated (or useless). That was almost like watching a Red Arrows as Pr Pawlick & Pedersen swapped 2nd & 3rd, neither allowing the other to give chase to Sayfutdinov. Pedersen would never have passed the Sayfutdinov, Pr Pawlicki may have retired from gating with the others but does at least look quick enough. Good ride by Pi Pawlicki to pass both home riders, haven't watched reply, yet, but it appears to me as if Buczkowski locked up exiting turn two & killed his speed then Leszno rider (Smektala, I think) clipped his front wheel as he passed him down the back straight. Harsh but Leszno rider should be excluded. On second viewing that is certainly how I saw it, Buczkowski was clever Smektala showed impatience. Unfortunately I can't see Grudziądz winning from here.

Great ride by Zmarzlik heat 7, Madsen seems to have no pace. Predpelski again excellent, was obvious once Lindgren switched to the outside he'd overcome Thomsen. Brave back straight lap one from Częstochowa pair in heat 9, Zmarzlik very reckless on home straight. Madsen has woken up in heat 10, Wozniak & Miskowiak still haven't. I gather thats the lot due to an electrical fault. Video has seconds to go and heard it mentioned in the SEC commentary last night. Result stands or rematch? I sure it's been mentioned previously on this thread but I don't want spoilers for today's meetings.
