  1. Good win for Tigers, Batchelor much improved & solid scores throughout the team.
  2. Well I don't really know where to start... The road system approaching Perry Barr (from M6) is an absolute mess, nothing to do with the stadium it's being redeveloped for Commonwealth Games. Ended up parking on some urban road as getting to the OneStop car park would have taken forever with the queues. It occurred to me on the way that the Stadium could be in the new innercity clean air zone, but it isn't - helpful sign saying the clean air zone starts in 2 miles - so at least no additional charge! The queuing system for season ticket holders wasn't good, pay on the night customers were streaming past us. It was announced that the start was delayed due to track prep shortly before 19:30, but not a soul had been working on the track prior to that and we'd been in the stadium from about 19:15. Still took about 10 further minutes before the tractor appeared. Then the tractor swapped its equipment for a blade about 30 minutes later (swapped by Chris Harris I think), a few laps with the blade and a bit of raking from the limited number of track staff (& Charles Wright). Finally racing was underway about 20:45.... It was clear the riders were not happy with bends 3 & 4, with a few exceptions almost all of them switched off to enter the bend - Thomas & Sarjeant almost came to a complete stand still. Then the dust began - no sign of any water being put down. Tractor came out. But no water. There were actually a few decent races - Harris v Allen, Palm Toft going from 4th to 2nd and giving chase to Riss. But it was mostly Bears going around Brummies who were sticking frigidly to the inside. Despite the riders reservations with turns 3 & 4, Morris & Grobauer/Stewert both fell on turn 1. Didn't see the second incident properly due to the dust cloud. At that point it was 21:40 so I left, expecting the meeting to be abandoned. Feel sorry for the travelling Redcar fans, a long way to drive for a none event.
  3. Utter farce. Left after the heat 10 crash. Need to get up in the morning, besides I could barely see anything for dust.
  4. Let's hope for more of the same! Don't recall any heats being called back as he tried to jump the start when he visited with Glasgow(?) In 2019 but I could be wrong. Hope we get some cloud cover else could be issue with riders struggling with glare exiting turn 2.
  5. I'd just looked at the line-up's and thought exactly the same, he used to drive me banana's in his Coventry days.
  6. Looking forward to it, when Redcar last visited Perry Barr Eric Riss was superb. Interested to see how good Anders Rowe is.
  7. I assume that update website is done by the league? Very impressive. Przdepelski did his best to ruin the last heat decider, another good race.
  8. Missed the incident, I'm frequently getting Access Denied briefly. The rerun was good.
  9. Couldn't get that to work on phone, but worked fine on PC - didn't need to go full screen. Thanks.
  10. Are any of these streaming (free)? Checked TV schedule & can't spot anything.
  11. Can't comment on the evenings meeting - wasn't there Panthers deserved a point in Manchester as the Ace's were just too inconsistent but Peterborough had every ounce of luck available. Kurtz & R Worrall had forced their way past Pedersen down the back straight in heat 1 but both lifted violently on turn 3 which sent them both very wide allowing Pedersen through. Worrall also had an engine failure in heat 8 - which was probably the best race of the day, Worrall v Ostergaard at the front Etheridge v Andersen at the back. As for Kurtz, I'm not a fan but he was the only rider on show that could match Bewley for pace. Was unlucky in his first ride, looked like a novice in his second. Gate 2 seemed atrocious to me, sure stats will back that up.
  12. They've all woken up now, took Kurtz & Wright long enough. Not got a program so can't check stats but is gate 2 a graveyard? God knows which Panthers will appear in heat 15.
  13. Where's my pie. Breakfast was a long time ago. Bewley is 2 seconds quicker than any other rider in Manchester today. The Latvian bowser is doing more laps than the riders.
  14. Andersen, Kurtz & Bewley all announced as riding by stadium tannoy.
  15. Sunny in Manchester, with a breeze, keeping the track moist could prove tricky. The M6 wasn't tragic either.
  16. Kurtz 13+1 from 6 as Lodz lost in Bydgoszcz. Let's hope both be & Bewley have no issues traveling to Manchester.
  17. Haven't seen all of FZG's fixtures but Dudek had been as good as anyone except Zmarzlik, the Laguta's & Janowski that I've seen this year.
