Lindgren cements his Witches guest bookings for the playoffs. -
I watched this today... Odd meeting. Why when Bewley or King gated did the disappear into the distance riding wide yet if they didn't gate did they pootle around the kutb miles behind?

Well what a joke of a fixture. And TBH a joke of a team the Stars have been all season. Musielak barely missed a Sheffield fixture for a few seasons, yet his attitude since the move has been shocking. Kvech was a shot in the arm, but he seems to have given up caring. I was going to attend the original staging and add Saddlebow Rd to my tracks visited list. I can't tomorrow but I definitely wouldn't have bothered anyway.

Belle Vue V Sheffield - Mon 26th @ noon

It was such as awful performance from Belle Vue that I turned it off after watching the first 5 heats. -
Brummies are planning to run in 2025 apparently... and retain 4 of the current team! If Lindgren commits for a full season I'd be surprised if he didn't have other offers. Brennan maybe back on the Aces radar. Lampart & Flint?

If you are coming from the M6, park on the tire merchants on the left after Alexandra Stadium. There is a McDonald's opposite. -

I did see Belle Vue win at EoESg in July 2021 but it's been three years, 10+ meetings at 4 different tracks. All the Brummies riders were riding what turned out to be the slowest line in the first few heats. It was as if the track was prepared completely the opposite to how they expected it to be.

I had a reasonable view of the first bend on the temporary stand at the end of the start/finish straight. I didn't think there was any contact from Lindgren, unlike the first time, but there certainly wasn't much room for Kurtz and as the shale had been thoroughly drenched I couldn't see how he had a chance of staying up.

Like last week I thought the Brummies reserves should have outscored their Aces counterparts enough to win the meeting for the home team. Pawlicki got going by the end but isn't looking anything like the class rider he is in Poland... although he did have a poor weekend for FZG & at Bydgoszcz. Thought the track was over watered at the start but no complaints it was absolutely scorching at the start of the meeting, that was why Kurtz had two spills in heat 1. Gates 2 & 3 were an obvious advantage. Look at Blodorn's score, he was untouchable off the middle gates but absolutely nowhere when off the outside gates. Except for Lidsey somehow managing to go from 1st to last on the first lap of heat 7, I can't remember any over taking.

A few notes as I go to bed ... It was good to see the Aces win away for the first time since 2005. I don't think I have seen them win away more recently but I could have in 2021. I did see Bewley & Kurtz win the pairs at Beaumont Park last year but that doesn't count. It was also nice to go to a Speedway meeting & being able to get there in less than 30 minutes and home in 15 minutes. Finally.. Brummies lost the meeting in heats 1 & 2.. when they were 2-10 down and rode like they had never seen the track before. Was it that different last week?
