Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)
Col replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Depends on the limitations imposed on Polish League riders, I'm sure he'd be on an absolute bargain average. It seems unlikely that he'll now surpass fellow Poles his age so a GP spot would have to be through the qualifiers or SEC. He rode 10 matches in Elitserien last year. Would think Howarth would stay at Sheffield if he had the choice. -
Has there actually been any indication that whatever Polish authority blocks riders in their league from riding for a certain number of other teams will be lifted?

Gracious in defeat as always Explain the difference between Lambert replacing Fricke in 2022 to Woffinden replacing Kylamkorpi in 2016 please. -

Just trying to compare scores at a track. Fricke & Klindt scored more than Lambert when all three riders rode the NSS this year. -

Paweł Przedpełski does and it didn't do him much good. Unless you are Paweł Przedpełski! Not that I think he deserves a permanent wildcard, but suspect he has scored more points this year than Kim Nilsson will next year. -

When was the last time Lambert visited Owlerton (or less likely Monmore). I would suspect he's never visited Owlerton in the top tier of British Speedway, prior to last night Lambert was last at the NSS in March for the Peter Craven memorial and only scored 7! Fricke and Klindt (who was booked as guest) scored more that night, so going on the form shown that night the Aces were weaker last night with Lambert in the team. According to Speedway Stats Lambert last visited Owlerton in 2017 and averaged 6.40 from 2 meetings. -

They've been around for years, I think I remember the sombrero wearing Ace's fans at Monmore in 2004. -

From the clips I saw, Monmore looked a monumental mess. -

Why? Belle Vue except for the Playoff semi at Foxhall have been lackluster away from home. The big NSS wins only came once Zagar was @#1 - which won't happen now. It looked in a fairly appalling state tonight. With 15 of them at Owlerton? -

So Kurtz is @#1 tonight? -

What average is he on? -
Woryna v Holder was the highlight.

A year out the GP's might give Woffinden a wake up but who knows, certainly won't happen he's too much of a "draw". Shame Janowski finished top 6, he is well on his way to taking the title of best rider to never win a world title from Leigh Adams It's a shame he's more interested in increasing his teenage girl social media following than being a world title contender. After a year out Sayfutdinov & Laguta may not be the riders they were. I'd heard a rumour Sayfutdinov was thinking about retiring.

My first visit to Torun - what a fine theatre of speed & methanol it is! Only downside was Lambert. After 8 heats he & Vaculik looked the two most likely contenders. Then for no apparent reason in a heat which has 3 riders in it who have showed no form or speed in their first two rides he touches the tapes. A third in that heat would have got him into the semi. After that Lambert was under pressure: chasing other riders & necessary setup.

Anyone who thinks Keynan Rew is worth signing on anything other over 4.00 is crazy.

2023 GP line up/wildcards

If Bewley finishes top 6, Fricke's 4th spot in the qualifier gets him in. Pzedpelski out, Nilsson in is the only change I foresee unless the Russians are back. Doyle & Thomsen in the most peril if that occurs Shame Kolodziej didn't qualify through SEC, may have got Janowski kicked out. -
Having read the comments on the updates forum I'm trying to spot the "bad luck". A Batchelor EF granted, a shedded chain when clashing with a team mate in 3rd & 4th. No mention of Zagar doing anything wrong when passing King / Tungate when they fell? I'll watch it at some point when I'm back from Torun, assuming the TV box has recorded it. 38-52 isn't luck, it's a convincing result.

It doesn't really work... Only Brennan has progressed. He is better than Etheridge now.. Woo!
-
Kurtz, Wright, Brennan, Blodorn... will be back. If Kemp or Flint are available as RS I'd take one, only ones that have done anything at NSS to suggest they are worth signing. Mountain has been Ok but must be too old now. Fricke has been disappointing for me, Zagar has been good but is getting on. If Aces can get Bewley back, he'd be the one to excite. See who fits after that. Wouldn't touch Etheridge with a barge pole. Fail to see what he has to offer.

Unfortunately circumstances conspired against me today, as they did when the Aces visited AoESg previously this season. At least I made it for the pairs. Hope Panthers are running in 2023.

What is Panthers likely line-up? Harris, Basso, Nicholls & RS. RR & two guests?
