Good to see the Stars have a reliable #1 sorted for 2023.
-
Why? Due to ride the pairs at Leicester tomorrow & probably at NSS Thursday. I think he's missed one Aces fixture since he signed after a well documented heavy spill at Bydgoszcz.
-
Better take a packed lunch then.

I'll pass on those!

Sportowefakty have updates. Looks like a thriller. Link

I'm sure Lambert's Instagram story was recorded in a gym when I saw it last night.

Weather forecast better now >5% rain until 21:00, hopefully that means there won't be much in the way of intervals. Any suggested fodder emporium near the stadium? Amazing to be in the vicinity for 18:00.

Sheffield v Ipswich PL Monday 24th October
Col replied to tocha's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sheffield would have been better off moving this meeting to Tuesday at Leicester and hosted the pairs at Owlerton tonight, save the travelling Witches hoard of fans a couple of hours driving. -
I hear the Tigers are bringing Margaret Anne Lake in as fixtures secretary.

R/R for Wright @#2 for Aces

Half the blinking roads are flooded around here, hope it's not that bad in the East Midlands.

Early days but the weather forecast for Leicester on Tuesday and Manchester on Thursday is very wet.

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)
Col replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The only club I believe Woźniak has ride for in GB is the Lions, can't imagine he is an "asset" of any other club but could be wrong. I think Woźniak would be a strong third heat leader, maybe even second heat leader. -
Dross sounds fairly disrespectful!! Castagna's return in 2023 would encourage me to go to Perry Barr in the championship more often than I did this year! But he is not the type of rider the Premiership teams should be looking at.

It's pretty obvious from his GP efforts that Woffinden is adverse to taking a risk these days, he said at the Peter Craven memorial at the start of the season he'd sign for Belle Vue if he only had to ride home meetings. A fairly unrealistic position, but maybe that's what he did for Esbjerg - don't know don't follow the Danish league. Perhaps he feels British track are unsafe - Owlerton is certainly intimidating with it's high speeds and narrow track. Couldn't comment on the others - never been to Foxhall or Saddlebow Rd, can't imagine he'd feel that wat about EoESg. And it doesn't explain why he doesn't participate in the British final. Anyway back to Lions 2023, what average would Woźniak be considered a valuable signing on if he wouldn't return on his 2016 5.91 figure? Musielak averaged 8.30 for all matches in 2022 and has a rolling GSA of 7.91. Wozniak is considered a better rider by Polish teams but Musielak has far more experience in Britain. Musielak didn't ride in Elitserien so there is no way to compare them, but I'd think Woźniak would at least match what Musielak did over the course of a season. -
In some cases yes, but not in Castagna's in my opinion having seen him ride for the Brummies for most of the 2021 season.

Maybe Wozniak will be re-assessed but not a GP rider and unlikely to ever make the Polish SWC team so wouldn't be 7.5 I wouldn't think, Woffinden won't return to British League racing. -

It's actually 5.91, from his 2016 stint with the Lions. -

Wozniak on 5.7 would be the signing to excite. -
If I'm not going to see a decent race when the heats involve the likes of Doyle, Musielak & Harris I'll never. @ least I can support Belle Vue and any team facing the Witches. It is a good idea. When else can a fan see Doyle v Harris at Monmore or Fricke v Ellis at EoESg or King v Becker at Owlerton. Great idea, poorly executed.

I have been looking for an excuse to go to Leicester for a few years, this gives me that.
-
It isn't like it is the first time it has happened. Wolves had to run their "home" KO Cup final fixture against Peterborough at Long Eaton once.

For the best interests of British Speedway, I'd be happy to see Lambert return to Kings Lynn. Aces with : Bewley, Blodorn, Wright, Brennan, Fricke/Kurtz/Zagar, Lidsey & A N.Other will be fine.
