  1. Because Poole have never bought in ringers for the playoffs
  2. I'm pretty sure any 2017 Wolves (Lindgren & Throsell) were in average reduction mode in the Swindon meeting. Although Howarth's scoring has been a massive disappointment. If he feels he needs to learn smaller tracks why do it at Wolves & sign for Sheffield. Surely he would be better off scoring points at a track like Swindon or Coventry and learning to turn tight turns in the PL, Redcar or Rye House?
  3. Polonia Bydgoszcz v Lokomotiv Daugavpils on Sunday took less than 70 minutes, all 15 heats, extensive track watering & grading every 3rd heat. Not a single rerun. Quite refreshing.
  4. He & Doyle are still head & shoulders above any other EL rider this year. I suspect he will have a GP sized hole in his schedule next year, so will be keen to ride.
  5. Sayfutdinov average reduced due to not riding in GP's for 3 years & never getting a British Average, comes in on 3 points to replace Kurtz, leaving space for Milik to replace Ellis & Lindback to replace Newman. Both have signed up for ACU 2 month licensees as Elite Draft Riders.
  6. Just wizzed through this on TiVo. Quite possibly the grippiest Monmore since the Oxford Silver Machine & Belle Vue visit's in 2004? When they almost had to cancel the meetings the track was so bad? Don't know haven't been there for a while. Can understand why, with two meetings in an evening. A fairly hopeless Stars lineup didn't help. You can't make a small track like Monmore too grippy. I guess Kings Lynn have no chance of making the play-offs now. Dumping Schlien who needs races to get fit is stupid. If the Stars retain Iversen & Lambert they'll win at home & get a crowd. Dump Huckenbeck & Batchelor, along with Schlien & give Lebedevs a few meetings. I have no clue if that fits average wise.
  7. I hope the SWC final & race-off is in Poland, at somewhere I haven't been. An SGP or SEC Event in Riga, with a Polish league match in Daugavpils on the Sunday. That would sort at least a couple of vacations next year.
  8. What a fantastic GP meeting that was, glad I attended fabulous weekend with the Sunday meeting at Bydgoszcz. Only had chance to watch the Zmarzlick exclusion, the Semi's & Final on the TV sine return. Thought exclusion at the time was wrong, cconvincedof it now, if anything Iversen (who has been my favourite GP rider for the last few years) actually kicked Zmarzlicks dirt deflector once Zmarzlick had passed him and if the deflector hit Iversens front wheel it was minimal and there was more than enough room for Iversen to go wide. Fantastic final heat, still surprised Doyle won. Woffinden blew him away in the semi riding the inside and Zmarzlick had looked nigh untouchable all night. I'll watch it all again, sometime this week
  9. So Kings Lynn threaten the Playoffs winning at Belle Vue then lose meekly at home to an understength Wolves
  10. Meh, I hate the M6. I have a ticket to burn from the NSS Grand opening, which I will use for the play-off grand final I assume the Aces will make if Zagar can get his house in order & Fricke decides the BEL are worthy of his attention.
  11. Well the broadcast on Eurosport was rubbish, I saw heat 2, heat where Iversen & Zengota got a 5-1. About 4 reruns of the second reserve race and the few heats that followed that. Rospiggarna will make the final for sure after that result. Lindman won them the meeting.
  12. I would never trust the weather in Manchester, having spent a few years watching Sale Sharks. It seems grim no end. For Poole to win they the twins to have an off night. Kurtz, Monster Energy Has Been & the Byawne mobile Chicane will struggle. Lets face it unless Newman & Ellis don't come up with some poor scores they won't get a team place next year and the I cannot imagine Anderson will perform. Yes I am a cynical human being
  13. If Wolves can ensure Woffinden misses the gate in all of his rides for the rest of the season, I may go watch it for the first time in I don't know how long. If it is not to TV.
  14. No offence to Swindon but whatever you say, having just watched last nights broadcast give me Woffinden missing the gate and putting the bike "into reverse" in the corners over much of what was on offer at Blunsden. Not the most entertaining of matches for a neutral. Tungate was superb for the Robins, but if they are to do anything in the playoffs which I suspect they'll make can they replace Neilsen & Sedgeman? If not they'll get blown away. Very disappointing performance from Buczkowski for Poole I expected more of him. Byawne is just there to get 6 points from the reserve races, he was his usual mobile chicane other than that. Doyle bottling heat 13 was almost as funny as Byawne going from first to last and Anderson throwing his bike on the shale in the hope of a heat 15 rerun. Great ride from Doyle to pass the Monster Energy Once Was in heat 15, made up for his heat 13 mistake. Anderson is half the rider he used to be. Still think he could have been World Champion in 2006 if he'd been given a Wildcard that year.
  15. Should be a fantastic final event, so close. Shame BSPA don't allow Lambert to be involved.
  16. Haven't seen result yet with final yet to watch, meeting TiVo'ed. Another great meeting racing wise, why can't the GP's be this entertaining. Pedersen bailed with space to spare when Milik overtook him then hit the tapes in the rerun. Almost poetic justice. Just glad Sayfutdinov hasn't amassed a silly amount of points so the Rybnik event still matters.
  17. I am planning on coming to this, if there are a big bunch of riders that pull out. I may forget it, updates appreciated.
  18. Glad Swindon won this at least they have the ambition to be competitive. Kings Lynn gave that up a week ago putting out a frankly awful 1-7 v/s Poole. Hope the racing was good for the fans.
  19. Dear New Science, bickering with Stevebrum is futile. One of the many reasons I gave up spending time on this forum. He's nice enough if you meet him in person.
  20. KING’S LYNN: Niels-Kristian Iversen, Kai Huckenbeck, Chris Harris, Rory Schlein, Troy Batchelor, Josh Bailey, Lewis Kerr SWINDON: Jason Doyle, Justin Sedgmen, Nick Morris, Rohan Tungate, Josh Grajczonek, Leigh Lanham, Stefan Nielsen. Taken from the KL page. If so I'd expect an easy home win.
  21. Just watched Dackarna v Rospiggarna, TiVo box recording. What a fantastic performance from Peter Ljung, certainly the finest moment of his that I have witnessed. Wasn't really sure who to support as I don't particularly like or dislike any riders in the Dackarna or Masarna teams. Would it of been beneficial for Rospiggarna to eliminate Dackarna from the playoffs considering their dominance in the league and Dackarna are more likely to take points from Piraterna & Indianerna than them in the playoffs? No one can fault Rospiggarna efforts. Holta was very hit & miss but his elbow on AJ in the deciding heat was as important as anything, surprised he was given the nod over Dudek if I'm honest for that, or was Dudek struggling mechanically? Still struggling to comprehend how the likes of Timo Lahti are preferred over Brits such as Cooke & King, for Swedish teams. He will probably be a league winner this year. Because despite this narrow loss from what I have seen (televised stuff) their are fewer weak points in the Rospiggarna then all the others. With Krzysztof Buczkowski at reserve, any weakness is completely nullified and they can bring Max Fricke back. Was impressed by Thorssell. If Dackarna are going to do anything in the playoffs, Janowski needs to turn his form around pronto and they need to find someone at reserve alongside Pepsi to score points.
  22. Depends on how much pride Swindon & Kings Lynn have left in them, if Poole can avoid Wolves in Semi. I can't see Pirates winning at Monmore or NSS during or after before unless Zagar goes missing. I do think the Pirates will beat both Wolves & Belle Vue at Wimbourne Rd comfortably.
  23. If you think the signing of Woffinden has won the Elite League for Wolves, you're mad. Belle Vue have flaws also. Wolves have to carry a very disappointingly inconsistent Howarth, an aging PK & novice in Clegg. Belle Vue have to carry a novice in Jacobs. All Poole riders seem to score every meeting and if they don't I'm sure Charles Wright or Paul Starke can step in, they seem to allot. I can see Zagar having a can't be arsed night along the way, to boot.
  24. 7.03 he starts on, getting it down to less than Howarth & PK on 4.91 & 5.53 would take allot of last places. Wolves do need to win at least a few of their remaining fixtures.
