  1. Thorssell may hold his own in terms of average even at #1, but I think he'll struggle to win heats away from Monmore ALLOT more than Lindgren would. He will only have a chance of maintaining that because there are literally no World Class riders in British Speedway as yet in 2018. But he can only beat what is in front of him.
  2. That maybe possible at Rye House, I don't know I have never followed Rye House, really. I doubt any of the teams in the top flight of British Speedway in recent years have ever thought about that except perhaps Wolverhampton. Coventry did. But hard to judge Leicester & Belle Vue as their current management is fairly new.
  3. The 8+ Oyster, who do you want Lynn fabns? Lindgren, PUK or Doyle....
  4. If he does that, he'll have a Polish ban imposed on him. Or some other reason why he can't ride in the UK, but can in continental Europe. I am of an opinion that Islanditis is a crippling affliction many riders suffer from. I would confined my recently announced affliction mostly to the those born in Eastern European, but a few Aussies & Swedes have also suffered from the disease in recent years.
  5. Strange decision, Thorsell over Lindgren on similar averages. Suspect that means no Lindgren in GB this year.
  6. But then Bates should be scoring for fun at reserve...
  7. Andthat'sthebottomline, causeoutofdarknesssaidso. Close this thread, no more discussion required here.
  8. Sorry bud, but Howarth & Masters improvement will be marginal at best
  9. 31 years old is Danny King. 3 years younger than Tomasz Gollob was when he won his first World Title. Danny King will never be a world beater, but on 6.6ish average you couldn't find of a more experienced, reliable & capable third heat leader.
  10. That could work. Shame Pieszczek is 7.00 really tough ask. But there is enough experience around him in that team. IMO Pieszczek should be 5.00 having never ridden in a SGP or SWC event. But then Leicester isn't a few miles West of Bournemouth and the rules were not constructed with the Lions in mind,.
  11. MJJ will be on a reassessed. No doubt. Unless he is signing for Poole.
  12. Regardless of any of that the Skornicki signing was absolutely crazy
  13. Nope. Just honest. I was correct about your pre-season announced line-up last year. It was terrible, mostly due to Skornicki. Luckily despite "Adam being a Wolves legend" & "Adam wears his heart on his sleeve" claims by the forum mob, your management were savvy enough to realise their mistake early.
  14. So how about a Poole team of Charles Wright, Kyle Newman, Karol Zabik (reassessed 7:00), Paul Starke, Artur Mroczka (reassessed 7:00), Bjarne Pedersen (reassessed 9:00 - former GP winner). Leaves 2.87. And that is no slight on any of the riders mentioned. But it's OK. You can see Lindgren score a max for Wolves week 1, Vaculik score a max for Leicester week 3 & Doyle score a max for someone week 4. There is the quality your after, they are visiting weekly.
  15. Wasn't expecting Masters to be resigned in front of Schlien as primary backup to Lindgren. Unless Pawlicki isn't 9:00 they are gonna struggle.
  16. Until someone can officially be assured of the assessed averages of incoming riders, how on earth can we have any idea of Leicesters potential lineup. Confirmed: Bates 5.52 Probable. E Riss 5.75, Nilsson 7.13, Newman 4.86 If as confirmed Vaculik starts on 9.00 & Pieszczek on 5.00 It leaves 5.24 for the final member of the team. Lewis Kerr, Jake Allen & Paul Starke are the only signings that mean Pieszczek would start the season at reserve, which surely must be the plan?
  17. Sadly, Jack Smith won't be in a team that wins the title, unless there is seriously improvement on his part.
  18. Cook 8.45 Hougaard 6.09 Tungate 6.18 Worrall 6.77 Fricke 7.39 Bewley 4.71 Leaves 2.91
  19. The enjoyment of this sport. The SWC was the best week of action that world speedway provided. Now it's condensed into one event, where the format is unfair (assuming it is done via the 7 team pairs race card). Has the team that ride for the first time in heat 4, ever not conceded a 5-1 in their first ride using this format? Why is a Speedway 3-3 better when you finished 2nd & 3rd? Awful format. In the past 4 years I've visited places in Poland I probably wouldn't have thought of visiting to watch the SWC race-off & final. I'm not going anywhere to watch the rumored reformatting of the SWC. Have you ever been to a SWC race-off in Poland? Except for a few hundred tourists, it is empty. The Poles really don't give a moneys uncle about it. The six guys in a heat format was fantastic, cost Cradley a trophies that did with injuries to Jan O Pedersen & Simon Cross. The pairs format is the worst format in Speedway.
  20. Why not, he hasn't ridden in the UK for a year? Woffinden's average is apparently being reassessed. Woffinden is a far more useful ally in marketing terms for the BSPA than Woryna will ever be. You are quite the over emotional online gibbon. If former GP riders that failed to attain an end of season average for the UK, but avoided being banned from the UK are being reassessed (Kildemand & Piotr Pawlicki) why should a current GP rider that failed to complete a season in the UK, (Holder) not be reassessed? Are you going to come up with the "Outstanding commitment to British Speedway, over a period" bollocks, because I'm sure Hancock will be reassessed if someone tried to sign him. I would also like to know the theory why riders who decided they couldn't be bothered to ride in the UK last season should not be subject to the same average recalculation as those that decided they did wish to ride the UK in 2017. Woryna's 2017 team building average is 6.51, why should his 2018 team building average be any different? http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/2017_team_building_alphabetical.pdf I know it is difficult, as it is listed alphabetically But A is after B, B is after C, you'll find Woryna 3 off the bottom. Please see - http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/p17_issue_final.pdf Kurtz is 8.08, Shanes is 2.95. They're both listed under Poole. Poole alphabetically are between Leicester & Rye House, which is where you will find them. I'm sure if Matt Ford asks nicely, the BSPA will list the Poole averages first just to help you out.
  21. Woryna should be 6.51, which what his average was when he last competed post conversation.
  22. Oh FFS. That is another nail in the coffin.
  23. Indeed, based on the effort shown he put in he should have been re-assessed on 3.00.
  24. You're in luck, he's never ridden for Poole.
