I'm not old enough to remember Lee or Carter let alone any British rider that came before. Woffinden is far better a rider than the two British World Champions I can remember. Havelock was the rider who adapted best to atrocious conditions in Wroclaw on the date of the 92 World Final. Whereas Loram couldn't win an Event but was the most consistent over the (what?) 6 GP's of 2000. Certain a 10 point lead for Woffinden is enough tp mean he only needs to complete 3 heats in Torun. After the 1st hour, quite enjoyed the meeting. But fail to see why Germamy deserve to host a GP. Hope Hancock doesn't nick Bronze in Torun. Glad Sayfutdinov looks back on form to qualify for next year. Speedy recovery for Cook & Vaculik.

In the Elitserien (or Ekstraliga) he may not be a #1 anymore, but I'm not sure there is a better 2nd heat leader out there.

Cool. Hopefully the Saturday after Warsaw. Holiday #1 sorted. -
Kasprzak going from last to first down the home straight to join Andersen for a 1-5 over the atrociously slow Kildemand & Vaculik in about heat 6 ended the televised meeting as a contest, sadly. Was rather enjoying it. Great result for Smederna. Ghostwalker still not an NKI fan?

Thanks for the map. So why did they ever host World Finals & GP's in Gothenburg? Nowhere near an active Speedway track? -
They injury to Dudek certainly gives Vastervik hope.

Only Lawson has let the Rebels down really. BWD & Allen have thrown a point away each but you have to expect that from riders starting the season on sub 4 point averages. -

Difficult to call heat 8 but I thought if there was a winner it wasn't Jacobson. -
Cool. Pretty sure Vastervik is my favourite Swedish track.

Is it confirmed Dudek is out of Torun? I certainly wouldn't expect him back in time for Teterow but I think he might have recovered enough for Torun. If not he still has a reasonably healthy advantage (14 points) over 9th in the standings and largely out of form Sayfutdinov. Surely 10th in the rankings Zagar, also recently injured, will not make up the 23 points he is behind Dudek in two meetings. Should Dudek not retain his top 8 place I wouldn't expect it to be given that he gets a Wildcard being Polish with Janowski & Zmarzlik ahead of him and Kolodziej already qualified. He could count himself unlucky if he doesn't. Hampel was second in the rankings after 3 events when he got injured at the SWC a few years ago, no sign of him being given a Wildcard. I also think Vaculik will be unlucky if he misses out one a Wildcard due to his early season injury. NKI has qualified so I doubt a Danish rider will get a Wildcard, both Lindgren & Lindback have qualified so no Swedish permanent Wildcard. I just hope Holder doesn't get a spot, his performances have certainly not justified his inclusion in the series for the last two years. Cue Dorset hate coming my way..... For the record I'm no fan of Woffinden or Zmarzlik in particular but I'd rather have a British World Champion than a Polish one.

Any rumours on date for Czech or German GP's? -
Assumed so. At least the BSPA have acknowledged Lambert's paricipation in the SEC this year, maybe they'll offer to host a round or qualifier. 2018 was top 5 from 2017. 6 from qualification & 4 Wildcards. Same again? Yes, I am aware Lambert got an extra Wildcard because Laguta (podium in 2017) pulled out.

Thank god for Antonio Lindback, had it not been for him that would be the worst meeting I had ever sat through. That track made Leicester, Swindon, Vetlanda, Gdansk & Krsko look good entertainment wise. Well done Robert Lambert for securing a spot next year & a bronze overall. Invaluable experience. Lindback also qualifies for next year but with the GP's will he want it? Think we need to see how Dan Bewley is post injury.

Watched the meeting from Eskilstuna. MJJ again disappointing plus Iversen throwing a win away with that out of character fall. Having seen the conditions when the meeting was due to start I'm amazed that they were able to stage a meeting let alone prepare a track which produced some reasonable racing. Doyle looked as close to his 2016/17 form as I have seen. Lambert did well, still think his gating can let him down against the very best.
