Tell me about it!

Uniformed bollocks? Surely you mean uninformed? What you've written would be something altogether different!
-
Surely Coventry wouldn't strip him of the captaincy if the only change he's made is aesthetic? Surely the other riders who are complaining about it (and intimating that it's widespread) wouldn't be doing so if there was no actual advantage being gained? If it's true, then this is all a storm in a tea cup, but I think there has to be more to it than simly changing the coating of the silencer.
-
I desperately want to agree with you because what you've said makes perfect sense. Engines can be tuned within 500cc however the rider chooses, therefore what's the difference in altering the silencer as long as it comes in within the 115db limit? However, I think the answer is that the silencers are supposed to be sealed units that are the same across the board so that they don't have to test every silencer at every meeting.

Surely Steve's post is tongue in cheek? Why are people jumping out of their prams about it? Eddie has been a silly boy, no doubt, but I can't help but feel that all the people calling for him to dragged through the streets naked and flogged are going over the top.

Surprised Nicki didn't sling his bike on the deck like he normally does when someone goes by him on the inside. -

Well I was hoping to watch a speedway GP tonight, but it turns out they've decided to show a longtrack meeting being raced on a track primarily made with wet flour, with a referee who seemingly likes it when clutches get burnt out. Pearson screeching doesn't help much either, though he's clearly gutted Gollob has done nothing so far.... -

Obviously not dirty. He got unexpected grip and ran into Jarek and was rightly excluded, but he was straight over to check he was ok. No intent at all. -

Bridger has let himself down with his showing last night and even more so with his comments on twitter. He undoubtedly has the talent to do well in this sport, certainly better than he showed last night, but he needs to get his head on straight, forget about looking "spectacular" coming out of the bends and start performing. Presumably, Lewis does read this forum, and if so if the above makes me two faced, or "not a proper fan" then so be it, but frankly, last night you didn't look like a proper speedway rider. Get your head out of your backside, and go and do the job we know you are capable of. -

Of course it does. It makes me laugh that people are so naive that they don't believe it happens. If it didn't happen you wouldn't get riders accusing each other of doing it. -

While representing your country in any sport is undoubtedly a privilege, it's certainly not an obligation. I can fully understand Emil (or anyone for that matter) refusing to ride if it's going to cost them money. After all, they are professional speedway riders, and if the money's not there why should they be? Of course it's a shame for the fans, but the blame has to be placed on the correct person, and in this case it's not Emil Sayfutdinov. That said, I wouldn't neccesarily be averse to seeing him banned from riding in Britain until the end of the year -

I have to say that having cheered for Australia all night I was a bit disappointed with the way they manufactured their way to the Joker. That said we're talking about a sport that continually rewards crapness, so when winning is all that matters you have to expect competitors to use the rules to their advantage. It backfired in the end anyway, but I don't suppose they'll mind going to the race off.....
