To replace Kling
-
Blah blah blah Even if we lose in the play off final, we still will have had a far better and more entertaining year than you bunch at Monmore. Watching Holder and Ward together is something pretty special and I doubt I'll ever see a partnership like it again. Like I said even if we do eventually lose out, I wouldn't swap my place for yours in a million years. You make sure you enjoy Freddie getting worse and Ty Proctor STILL not having a breakthrough year won't you, not to mention Sowka and Aspegren having a go at comedy speedway.
-
Then why did you say they did? Yes, it has been done to death, and it came to an end when the Swindon promoter came on here and said that all the talk about the end of May was irrelevant and that Poole were perfectly entitled to use Adrian Miedzinski for as long as they wanted this season. If the Swindon promoter doesn't have an issue with him riding beyond the end of May, then I fail to see how and or why an ipswich fan is getting all hot and bothered about it. Unless of course you've seen all the attacks on Poole, and, without really understanding them have decided to have some fun yourself by sticking the boot in. If you have then sadly you've made yourself look an idiot. If Poole are genuinely in the wrong I'm the first to stand up and call it. However, the nonsense you've thrown at Poole today is just that, nonsense.
-
Whatever are you talking about now? What makes you think Poole used Adrian Miedzinski in order to make him unusable for anyone else? Adrian Miedzinski only wanted to ride here until May. Matt Ford wanted him to stay for the rest of the year. You have to deal with facts, you can't just go making stuff up.
-
Irrelevant - that was an average he obtained 5+ years ago Maybe, maybe not. That was an average obtained within that last 12 months, and therefore far more likely to be accurate than Miedzinski's 5.57 figure Supposition Of course you can, they are the current averages for both riders and have been obtained in the recent past. The automatic assumption that Pawlicki WILL UNDOUBTEDLY up his average by 1.5 points is rubbish however. Supposition Now you're just repeating the same old anti Poole nonsense you've no doubt read on here before. Well the whole point of team building is to select riders who will increase there average. If that rider then leaves, nothing illegal or immoral has taken place. "replacing a 5.5 rider with an 8 point rider" is a foolish thing to say. Adrian Miedzinski is an 8.5 rider as his average shows. Of course Poole should be allowed to replace him as such. Why?
-
Agreed. But it's also hugely debatable if 8.47 is his real ability this season, has he ever averaged that anywhere in the world? Because the "not true" bit was that Pawlicki's average would automatically increase by riding at number 5 rather than number 3 or 4
-
Not true If you ride at #3 or #4 with a similar standard partner and beat 1 opponent, there's a good chance that your team partner will finish ahead of you thus increasing your tally of bonus points. If you ride at #5 with poor reserves, if you beat one opponet, it's unlikely that your team partner will finish ahead of you. So the same rider riding at #3 or #4 is likely to pick up more bonus points than if he were at #5
-
Of course you can Steve, you're talking nonsense. What you can't do is start talking about Miedzinski having a 5.57 average from 5 years ago as if it's relevant. Pawlicki's average was gained last year and is a good indicator of his current ability, Miedzinski's average was gained this year and is a good indicator of his current ability - of course you can compare them. Yes Pawlicki might increase his average, but that's not guaranteed, and for him to improve by a point and a half to Miedzinski's level would be a massive ask.
-
Well given that it might be Poole he's riding for, I'd have thought it was a given that he'd be riding a 750cc engine, with no silencer, and only having to complete 3 laps!
-
But Miedzinski's poor return BP wise can be explained by him riding at number 5 with poor reserves, whereas Pawlicki's average was attained while riding in the heart of the team with an experienced partner, where bonus points are easier to come by.
-
Ha! And you were berating Poole fans for being ignorant earlier. Adrian Miedzinski's average is 8.47 gained this year. Przemyslaw Pawlicki's average is 6.95 gained last year. It's an incontrovertible fact that at the current time Adrian Miedzinski is a better rider than Przemyslaw Pawlicki by more than 1.5 points per meeting and therefore, if Poole draft him in to replace Miedzinski we will be weaker.
-
Speedway fans are interesting. On one thread we have people freaking out because Ty Proctor rode in place of Dennis Andersson on the basis of his average being 0.2 of a point higher than Andersson's, therefore demonstrating Proctor to be a better rider and giving Poole an unfair advantage. Then, on this thread we have several people completely disregarding the point and a half difference between Miedzinski's and Pawlicki's averages, and claiming that Pawlicki will make Poole stronger.....

Good promotion then?

Apparently he's reverting to his assessed 4 point average too

Time For A Revamp Of The Gp's?

Perhaps you could win a nice carriage clock or something if you come fourth in a semi final? Just a little incentive like... -

Watching last night's GP I think there might be something wrong with my TV, not only did it look like Freddie Lindgren won the GP, it also appeared to show him smiling on the podium. -

I'm sure it was just an oversight on your part, so don't worry too much about it, but you forgot the home of speedway off your list. The one and only Wimborne Road. You're welcome -

Yes it was rightfully moved. Did I say it shouldn't be? No. I just like laughing at people who take it upon themselves to police the internet. Real heroes of our time. The fact you think you've won some kind of victory because it was moved speaks volumes. Anyway chief, don't let me stop you catching those naughty internet offenders, I hear on the grapevine someone somewhere is planning on starting a a thread about golf in the GP section, best get it covered big guy. -

I'd agree with that. Although to be honest, I'd do away with wildcards altogether and make everyone qualify. Perhaps keep the top 6 (or preferably 3) from the previous year, everyone else has to come through open qualifiers. -
