I have to say I am a fan of the current system, it is clearly better than the knock out formula. I'm not convinced that there should be points up for grabs in the semis, it makes it all the more important to score well during the heats, as well as rewarding the riders who consistantly make the final.

Thanks for that Rob, it's always interesting to read about the way Speedway meetings are conducted abroad. I have to say though, from reading your report that the Polish league rules seem a little complicated. No, hang on, forget that, they don't have to contend with Tactical rides, which, (I'm sure anyone who has had to this will concur), are toe curlingly embarrassing to explain to a newcomer. Give me the polish system any day.
