  1. Do you really think so? I think its been pretty good, and I certainly wouldn't say ALL the passing has come from mistakes.
  2. Who says slick tracks can't produce good racing? Great race with the two Swedes pointing their bikes at each other
  3. Gutted for Anton Thats the second time his bike has packed up while he's been leading this week, normally his machinery is tip top. I suppose thats just the way it goes sometimes.
  4. Kelvin "and Jason Crump was delighted with that win" as the camera pns in an JC giving someone a "wave" Quality.
  5. Great move by Bjarne on the 2nd bend there. I have to admit I wasn't expecting this from Trick, I think I predicted he'd have a fairly quiet night, oh well.....
  6. Shame for Scotty, I think we were all hoping for him to have a massive night tonight....oh well he still has 3 rides left, just look at what Rico did last time. AJ did brilliantly to get off so quickly
  7. Its about five minutes away, I suspect they'll stream it and probably catch up. Why are people writing to SKY? they can't help it, they have an obligation to tennis just as they do us, settle down it'll all be ok in the end
  8. It is extremely annoying about the tennis, but as long as they show the speedway "as live" so to speak, and not just bumble in halfway through, I don't think its a major problem. This is the danger with screening live events, scheduling can be a nightmare. Don't forget its not uncommon for speedway to over run sometimes.
  9. Nicki Pedersen Scott Nicholls Jason Crump Antonio Lindback. I don't expect Trick to make the final tomorrow, he has nothing to left to prove this year, whereas Crump, and NP will feel the need to have a big meeting. Scott Nicholls will be desperate for the points, and its been a while since Anton has had a good GP. This could well be one of the best GPs of the year, ok so the winner is already known, but the boys struggling to hold onto/get into a top eight position have plenty to race for.
  10. DaC, I'm a TRick fan so it in one respect it doesn't matter to me that nobody has been able to touch him this year, I'm glad he has (all but) got that record equaling sixth title. As you point out Crump isn't a million miles away from where he was this time last year, and all credit to him. My original point wasn't aimed soley at Crump, all I was suggesting was that it would have been better from and entertainment point of view, if the series had been closer.
  11. Ok so Crump won in Eskilstuna. What's he done since, before last night? The point I was making was that nobody has made a sustained challenge this year.
  12. Well done Crumpy, well deserved victory, should set him up well for next year. By my calculations TRick only needs only 4 points to wrap it up. 3rd place in the 7th GP of the year and its his worst result of the year! Good to see Crump make a fist of it tonight, and while I'm glad TRick is all but world Champion again, its a bit of a shame that no one could step up a bit earlier.
  13. Splatty, I think you're getting confused between GP numbers and draw numbers.
  14. This meeting started of slowly, but over the last half a dozen or so heats there has been some cracking racing.
  15. Eromlenko makes himself look more and more foolish everytime he mentions Nicki's name. Even Tatum who is normally a Nicki basher could see what happened there.
  16. I'm certainly no NP fan, but he has been very hard done by twice in one race there, disgraceful refereeing.
  17. After last week it would be a crying shame if Gollob didn't make the final at least, he showed all the doubters (myself included) he is still more than capable of dominating a World Class event. I can see this being a very competetive meeting with the four finalists being: TRick, Gollob, N Pedersen and Crump. Crump and NP will both know that they are probably already some way past last chance saloon, but will be looking to gain some pride by having a big showing.
  18. Mr Clemens, Please never stop posting on here, sheer class.
  19. Spot on BWitcher, Stead has done probably better than we could have expected, the rest have underperformed to various degrees. As for an inquest to see what went wrong, its quite clear, we haven't looked off the pace we just can't get out of the bloody traps
  20. Firstly, how did he stay on the bike? Steady must have sh!t himself too. Secondly, how did he go on to win the race???
  21. Should I be churlish and point to the good fortune that Lee had in his early rides? No, absolutely not. Well done Lee proved me completely wrong.
  22. I'd imagine it is fairly difficult to control a speedway bike at 50mph when someone has just ridden into you
