  1. I think any reasonable person would have appreciated that the shop isn't quite ready yet and that if they wanted a quick answer to a query then they would have chosen any of the contact methods on the Contact Us page. I think you just fancied having a go for the sake of having a go. To save you a few clicks, here's the link: www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/contact. I’m sure the Club will be only too willing to help. Of course, I'm sure it is much easier to open up the British Speedway Forum, dig up a buried thread, and post a long-winded message that will not solve your problem rather than just email the Club for the solution.
  2. I assume you weren't at Armadale on September 12th then. Or the four other doubler headers in previous years that also came to a 30 heat conclusion.
  3. How could anyone possibly justify writing off £400+, especially for an arguably better product? You might be a richer man than I if you can afford to pour that down the drain. I think had you been at Armadale last night, you would realise it's the opposite up here. Not many clubs would put on theme nights to try and make the evening a bit more special for fans. It is certainly never the case that the Promoters at Edinburgh would be looking to intentionally rip off any fans. In my opinion, which I'm entitled to, it's people like you which do the sport no favours.
  4. Spoken by someone who clearly has not seen him race much.
  5. I think you should only comment on things you know more about. The fact was that in the days leading up the meeting the forecast suggested that there would be very heavy rainfall throughout the day on Friday. As Friday dawned there was still suggestion that there could be some showers throughout the afternoon followed by very heavy rain arriving anytime after 7pm. Not to make excuses but given the circumstances of very little rainfall over the last few weeks and an horrendous forecast, it was certainly a very tough situation. By the time the forecasts were updated to suggest that the rain would not arrive until later on (in fact, it arrived at 10pm), the opportunity to water to a sufficient level had long since passed. Just to add to a mix of the worst possible circumstances, there was a strong wing blowing throughout the day and occasional spells of warm sunshine. The track was watered throughout the day, though not to the point that it would have been had the forecast been good. Of course the club will always endeavour to put out a terrific racing surface, unfortunately it didn't work out yesterday.
