How about the lad Ellis Perks ? Or is his name not included in the draft ?
-
What goes around comes around. We had a great 2nd Reserve last season when others were moaning. We could be doing a Poole and use 3/4 without success. Hope weft with someone like Stokes and just stick with him. Really don't understand why they called a meeting to announce the same 5 riders returning.

Eddie taking a risk in Jack Richards County lol

Porsing seen in Lynn today

I am not sure I agree with that one Speed. I think our team of last year peaked mid term and then fell away. Other teams will be stronger this term, in particular at Reserve, where we enjoyed a good advantage at the start of last season. Maybe a bit of improvment in Porsing and Lambert. NKI and Kenni, should be there or thereabouts compared with last year. Rory ? Who Knows. I wouldnt want money on him rising or falling in average next season. Think we could well make the top ( difficult to judge yet). just feel this side ( if it stays the same) had its best chance last season, but lost their way after a fantastic start to the season.

I guess with Robert Going to Boro that will curtail his trips to Germany Etc. Friday night track plus the number of Saturday and Sunday tracks in the Premier League will keep him busy most weekends
-
Will they be buying him ? I hope they aint going to be taking him on loan year after year.

You can ask all of them Trees. You wont need a seat, as can see you will be on ya feet all night.

I cannot see why Buster would hold a meeting to introduce the same 5 riders as last year. No disrespect to Young Joe Jacobs but to arrange a meeting where he is the only new rider sounds a bit of a damp squid. I am convinced there will be another new rider, but who ?
-
Screamer the lad I would love to come to Lynn would the boy Pawlicki who was at Wolves part of last season. He looked something a bit special at Saddlebow last term.
-
I agree GRW that's why I said on decent gear Porsing should be a shoe in, over Mads. Rory is a real enigma. To me he should be 7.5/ 8 point Watered down Elite League rider, but never seems to get there. Feeling is, this is the year, but that year never seems to come. Robert Lambert is a fantastic prospect, but to progress he does need to gate at least level on a regular basis. The one rider who I wouldn't be fussed about returning is Kenni, but maybe it's a case of better the devil you know.

I think a case could be made for Porsing and Mads. With Porsing, if he is going to turn up with decent gear then he is a shoe in. We saw it last season. When he had a bike under him was capable of almost anyone, when turned up with a bag of nails there was little point in him being there. I don't expect many changes but feel it does need a little freshening up a bit. Still feel the Reserves in this League are going to be massive and we won't have the huge advantage we started last with. So we do need the improvement to come from other areas

I see Gollob and Hancock haven't got fixed up abroad yet. Lol. Puk or no Puk I am sure Buster has it all under control.

Speedy recovery to the Fever one.

I dont think Lynn would have won the play-offs even with a fully fit 7. Before the injury jinx really kicked in Lynn had a dip in form. It could be suggested that we peaked way to early. At the Start of the season Team Lewis were on fire and were the stand out pairing at Reserve. As the Year progressed several Reserve pairing ( or at least indviduals) played catch up. You only have to look at Newman In the play-offs. Im sure others think differently. Just MHO

It could be suggested Lambert would gain more from going to a smaller, more technical track. Alwarton and Saddlebow are not that different.

Sadly, If Buster sticks the prices up for next season then it will be a now and again experience for me as well. For certain I wouldnt go anywhere near the place on a wet night. For £17/18 I will feel like I really want to be entertained. Speedway at Elite League level is NOT an £17/plus sport. It seems there is always a straw that breaks the camels back, for me, IF the prices go up, then That will do for me. Its no good Promoters sticking the prices up, then moan when attendances fall. Even now when I go I do not buy any of the over inflated drink and food nor £2 for a racecard. Can seem me doing a Star Lady and stopping home with my knitting and Holby City lol

You cant make it one week, Illness, other committments, Holiday etc...Bang thats the saving gone. I would never invest in a season ticket at any Club. Tpo many things that could make me a miss a meeting or 2.
-
Great news for Speedway, but was there ever any doubt? Great Marketing though
-
Shame Peterborough never had Barry Evans in their team. Dream come true for Trev.
-
5k shouldn't be a problem. Swales only needs to make a guest appearance on Albert Square. Bish Bash Bosh job done.
-
Not a bad little line-up. Improvement from the Reserves, but then I expect every Reserve pairing to improve. Bech could stick on a point, Schlein and 0.5 with Mads and lambert both adding a Point. 3.5 Points Improvement in that little lot. Not good enough to win it, but would be top 4.
-
£1 ? 500 people per meeting x 20 Home meets ( approx) thats 10,000 Visits... 50p should cover it. what can you buy for 50p ?
-
These things come and go Morrissey, If we never win, so what ? We still have a track owned by a Speedway man, and Speedway to watch most weeks. Not certain yet that Peterborough will even have that. God forbid Alwarton should go, where would Lynn get their riders on the cheap from then ?
-
£5k short ? How much is that per supporter each week ? Lump it on the admission then the people who want Speedway to continue in P'Boro should be prepared to pay for it. cant amount to a whole heap of beans per fan, per week.
