King's Lynn V Coventry 29th April
semion replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If the rain dont win then I will go with a 12 point home win. I hope Buster will be lighting a rocket under certain underperforming team members. If its going to be wet then think i will give it a miss. -

I guess with a Sky meeting fans that are there are too few to worry about. Might as well hold these meetings behind closed doors. -

All These calls to sack this rider or that rider. The truth is there is little to nothing out there to replace them with. Ok, get shoot of Morris, bring in Stokes, then 3/4 meetings down the line when he has scored little to no points, are we then going to sack him and move on to the next one on the list. Kenni B is having a right 541t time of it, again who is out there to replace him ? Bjerre might not be pulling up any trees at the moment, but people know he hasnt become a poor rider overnight, I am sure his time will come and he will kick on again. Porsing is the one big worry. I really thought he would have kicked on this season. last term we saw what he could do with decent equipment under him there were times he looked untouchable around Saddlebow and took some real big scalps. This season, so far, he just doesnt look the same rider. Is it Machainery again, lack of Interest, too much going on, or was last season really his peak ? One little question on the fast track riders list. will the New Zealand lad at Eastbourne ( Wilson ?) be added to that list sometime soon, as I understood he had a British Grandparent ? -

Robins Vs.the Kings Lynn Stars
semion replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I am hoping this season for Lynn is the reverse of last season. 14 we started like a train then ran out of steam/riders. This season I am thinking could it be a slow start and then hit peak form towards the end. Kenni, im sure will come good. Nick also should get better as the year moves on. Rob Lambert has improved since last season and will carry that on. Rory, Is a concern with the amount of meetings and rides he is doing.. Takes a lot out of man and machinery. NKI, is on the way back from a biggie, and will get back to his best. Lewis, again should continue his improvement . Ashley needs to somehow get out of the gate on level terms, he doesnt seemt o get tailed off, but needs to be in the first bend mix to earn some points. Fingers crossed Lynn will be amongst it at the business end of the season. -

Cant see why any rider would give advise to another rider who might then take points money off him. Its a business, and the riders living. -

Morris went past NKI in there first meeting, simply because Niels thought it was Kenny -

GRW, I of course respect your opinion, even if it differs from my own. I wasnt alone In thinking the meeting wasnt all that. No problems with the speed of the meeting, once the sun went down. In fact at times the 2 mins warningwas on before the result of the previous race had been announced. Maybe yours and mine levels of expectability somewhat differ. I cant compare last night to the Grand Prix On Saturday, as i did not watch it. What I can compare it to is the entertainment value that has been served up at Saddlebow in past years. Of course Lynn is a fast track, but it also gave riders an a chance on the outside. I dont recall seeing one rider having a go around the outside. If you look at the individual scores it tells it own story, where a rider Like NKI could make no impression on an opposing rider, on his home track, not once but twice. -

So why is their a lack of dirt now. 1. Its a cost saving exercise 2. The Top riders in the team want it that way 3. Cant get hold of enough of it (shale) 4. Lack of time to prepare. 5. Weather considerations -

I thought the meeting was a croc of ****. Total borefest. One racing line, One genuine overtake when Rory was pushed off the line by Zengota in 14. Lambert, for me was the star attraction and would have grabbed a paid max if he had'nt of lifted on bend 2 in both heat's 1 and then again in 11. As for that Mouth piece in the centre, surely upon surely they can find something better than that. For Swindon Morris was very good, North and Harris hit and miss depending on where they were after the first 2 bends. Ok Lynn fans, what has gone wrong with the track at Lynn, and what needs to be done to bring it back to one of ther best racing strips in the Country ? -

I think Bomber Definitely knows the quickest way around the boards at Saddlebow by now. I love to see him and Rory going at it. Its high time Rory Definitely put him his place. Not sure Bomber would agree, but he would sure slip the word Definitely in a few times, if asked. -

Good call, then when he is with the Panthers he could do an average reduction job there and end up Trebeling up with Mildenhall. Feels kinda strange now with the Lambert twins ( although born a few years apart) and now you want Rory, its like the Kings Lynn Nursery Club over at Alwarton. -

Redcar V Scunthorpe Thurs 16 April

I wouldnt suggest the 2 Scunny fans who suggested it, are stupid, just a little misguided. Maybe the feeling they are getting is coming from The Promotion there. -

If The Scunny Promotion aint bothered with the League Cup, I hope Godfrey aint gonna start bleating about crowd numbers, as maybe the fans will feel that way also. Where on earth is the encouragement to get the people thorugh the gate ? Or is it all smoke and Mirrors cos Scunny appear to have put together what looks a very average side, thats being being kind ? -

So are Scunny and Godfrey losing these matches on purpose because the they feel the competition is worthless ? Doesnt sound much of a business plan to me -
Phil I had the great pleasure of meeting Brian when he was the front man for Down Your Way. What an absolute gent he was.
