http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/elite_league_king_s_lynn_stars_are_rocked_by_the_departure_of_niels_kristian_iversen_1_4318498 Taken from todays EDP How many GP riders will actually be riding in the Elite League this season. Maybe the days of these top boys riding in the UK are coming to an end. No NKI, Zager, Magic this season. Is it really bad thing for British Speedway ? Could it be a line-up looking something like Batchelor Lambert Bjerre Schlein Porsing Kerr Rose Would that fit ?
-
Anyway back to all things Kings Lynn Stars, have we got any rumours doing the rounds on who is onboard for next season ? I really cannot see wholesale changes. NKI, Lambert, Roo, Kerr, Rose (honourary Star) back again. So maybe just 2 new faces, or not so new.
-
Well Now Buster is the top dog at the BSPA, why Not just ask him ? Im sure you have his number.
-
With all this talk on a Kings Lynn thread, is there a rumour of Newman coming to Saddlebow ?
-
Topinka, Rode for Oxford Cov, Ipswich, Workington as well as Lynn. Wuffy Is riding for Clubs In Poland and Sweden, but Not Wolves in the UK. Lindgren had a season or out of the UK, but was riding for clubs in Sweden and Poland. Newman and Kerr are young uns still time for him to have a host of Clubs. Holder, didnt he give the Uk a miss as well ? Ward rode for Swindon this season. Your Witness.

If that is the case, he was in good Company. Riders will by and large pick where they are going to get the most reward. What amazes me, is that people are still surprised by this. A Speedway rider, rides a bike as a job. He is freelance to earn what he can where he can.. No different to a self-employed trademan in the Buildling trade. Gone are the days where one rider sticks with a club for keeps.
-
Then again he could repay the club in another way. When Buster receives a big fat Cheque from Matt Ford ( Change name to fit). Just because he is local, why should he be any more Loyal to the Club than ex number of other riders who have sold their time at Saddlebow over the last 20 years ? how many times have we heard those involved in the nitty gritty of the Sport ( I use that term very loosely) tells us its a 'Numbers' game. Well for the riders that must also apply, but in their case the numbers are proceeded by a £/€ sign.
-
Why should a poster be accused of the above Just for supporting a young upwardly mobile, Local rider ? The Boy has Immence talent, Ok he makes the odd mistake, I think I made a few of those when i was his age. Maybe Pinny you were perfect and a total credit to your parents, if so, well done you. If the lad moves on from Lynn, then so be it, and he will be doing it for his future progress in the Sport and maybe even to boost his bank balance, again how many people in his shoes would turn down extra money, if offered it for each days work ? For me it has been a total pleasure to watch the boy develop from The Lynn National League side to the fine rider he is today. I have to confess he was the one big reason I went to Saddlebow last season. If he does depart he will leave a massive hole to fill, in terms of entertainment value.

Isnt the main part of the AGM to divvy up the seasons proceeds ?
-
Keep Individual's for me ( yes even Cardiff) I was brought up on team racing anything else is of little interest. I remember going to Lynn to watch POTE, Littlechild Trophy, Supporters Trophy, they also did a Best Pairs Event. Knockout Cup, Start the season With the Spring Gold Gold, Anglian Cup, Border Trophy. Cyril certainly rammed the old fixtures in. FFS how old am I !! It must make me nearly as old as GRW.

Or Kenni B, If Buster has any loose change in his pocket.

Kings Lynn Declared Mdl Champions 2015
semion replied to Main Man's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Does it matter who wins and who is bottom . Surely its all about rider development. I do wonder if there even any point in have such a thing as a league table -
People are forgetting Buster has Young Lamberts Contract. IF Buster decides tio sell him then someone in Speedway is going to have to pay out a large chunk of wonger for his services. Buster doesnt seem to want to loan riders out, only sell them on.... Ward and Doolan spring to mind, but he isnt adverse to bringing in the odd loaner, NKI and Bjerre spring to mind. Smart Businessman is that Keith Chapman,

Will a deduction in riders per team result in a load more dicking around with race formats and rules etc ?
-
If there is such a massive shortage, why not go for 4 man teams. After all for most of last season thats what we were away from home.
-
I wouldnt be surprised to see young Lambert head off for pastures new, for his own development. Interesting that he ended the season at Rye House. Maybe he will look to go to somewhere a bit more technical than Saddlebow. How about Kent.. ( Silver connection) ?

Interesting that Albert Pierrepoint set up home in Manchester. Surely Poole can't out choke Albert -
If Lewis returns I feel it may well have to be in the main body of the team. NKI Rory Robert Lewis AN Other 2 Reserves If We line-up like that The AN OTHER could be the make or break.
-
Does that make him a Yow Yow ? I get confused between them and Yam Yam's
-
Robert Lambert surely would make a good guest for Ostergarrd. He should know the quickest way around The Showground.
-
1. NKI 2. SCHLEIN 3. NICHOLLS 4. THORSELL 5. LAMBERT 6. ELLIS 7. SPILLER
-
I can see Young Lambert get rides abroad next season ( Think He already doing Poland and Germany) Throw Sweden and maybe Denmark into the mix and his availability maybe somewhat limited next season and which ever club he is at might have a real issue fitting their fixtures around his other committments. Where ever the Boy ends up he is a class act and the fans of that Club will be in for a treat, whenever he is available to ride.
-
Fisher!! and his 6 fingers I think is best days are well behind him. Wouldnt mind if Buster threw a Pawlicki, as long as it was the right one... Oh By chance to dream.
