Tai made his choice when offered to ride for either Country and he went British. At That time the British route to competing on an international stage was probaly less 'cluttered' He had a lot of riders in front of him at that particular time ( Crump, Adams, Holder etc). So I would suggest it he made the correct commercial decision. The Boy was brought up in OZ, so obviously has allegiance to that Country. It's a bit like in Football terms when Jurgan Klinsmann was manager of the USA and playing In Germany in the World Cup Finals. A German Through and Through but wanted badly for the US to beat them.

Well someone has to pay for all that advertising in Speedway Star. Must be like a nice late Christmas Pressie for Phil.

The Kerr Situation is one of the prices Clubs pay for having so many riders doubling up/down/sideways. Promotions want cheap Speedway. All Boils down to a rider ( whoever) will ride where he wants to ride and being under contract ( ?) to any Club is worthless. I wonder what would have happened if Buster had said to Kerr you are a Lynn asset, so we have first call on your services and If you want to ride Premier League as well, then find a club that fits in with us ?

I am surprised that Phil Rising agree to this Travel Plus brouchure going in the Speedway Star every year. It does devalue the whole issue. Like Humpie says, if you want to book any of these trips they are all available online, and must be a lot cheaper if you book it all up yourself. Certainly the mag could do with a bit of a makeover for the winter months, maybe a fresh pair of eyes would help.

If Buster goes with a weakened team that will end up bottom, then the crowds will fall away. If Buster is one thing, then that is he is a smart Businessman and No way is he going to allow himself to run with a weakened team. Look at the gates we had In Waggy's last season at Lynn when he put out a team that was always going to end up bottom. Buster knows what he is doing ( I Hope) but all this uncertainty is not doing the Club any favours. He really needs to pull a stellar signing out of the hat to repair at lot of the damage already done. If That breaks the odd rule and a few of the die hards take umbridge but it brings in a good few floating fans then, The Club wont have lost anything. The Rules of Speedway have been twisted, bent, turned upside down to suit indivdual Clubs in years gone by. So why should people worry if it happens again ?

Sport ? I thought Speedway was in ther Entertainment Business. Or do fans just turn up and expect their their team win at home and then toodle off home all happy, Or do they go to watch a nights entertainment ? that takes 2 teams not one.

Leicester and Lynn might be given a leg up to help them complete their teams. In Speedway the Promotions are all good freinds together so it is in the common interest for the rules to be a little flexible to help out.

Got last weeks copy of Travel Plus with the Speedway Star In it. Nice of them To allow Phil Rising to put his Mag inside their travel brochure It big the mat with a thud, and My eyes lite up.... However once inside to find 31 ( ish) Pages of adverts in a 72 page mag, that must be some record.

Come on the guys the first one of these posts is quite amusing, but to keep repeating the same old joke by just changing a few letters doesnt do it. Time to Move on... Anyone got any other suggestions to who Lynn might get to fill that Number One position ?
-
With Buster as King Arthur and Rob Godfrey as Merlin.... Not sure who gets the role of Guinevere though.
-
Why Polite ? No need to change just for that poster.
-
Meanwhile back at the ranch......The Clock is ticking away to the start of the season and still no hint at Kings Lynn having talked a Number one into joining. This is so un Busteresk. Normally he doesnt leave things to chance or the last minute, but it seems we cannot have too many options, if any.
-
Good Idea Mungo... Im with you on that one. What started out as a good idea is now a mess. Then again this is Speedway. The odd good idea they do have they always managed to ( 4 letter word here) Mess ( im being kind) it up
-
More importantly will they be adding names to the heat leader list who wanted to ride in the UK ?
-
Once bitten and all that, surely ... Bridger is certainly in the category of wasted talent. Shame as he seemed to have it all at a very early age.
-
What you should do Simon is invest in having your own track again then you can have it set up exactly how you want it.
-
That's True SL but that's Poole, if it was any other club then people would be a lot more understanding 😀

But GB this is Speedway we are talking about. How many times have seen rule changes happen mid season, when it has been discovered that some smart ass has found a loophole in some new rule or other. Dont they use...'In the best Interests', rule ? You are right about Kenni Larsen though, would love to see him at Saddlebow. For me would be more box Office than Batch. Also with him being a Newcastle asset and what appears to be a close relationship with Buster ( Rose, Kerr Lambert to name but 3 ) and George, maybe there is still hope. Like you though I would have thought if he was KIngs Lynn bound it would have been a done deal by now. Then again could it be that Kenni is the safety net and they are still trying to get a big fish in.

Would it be cost effective for a job share arrangment ? If say Nicki P was to ride 14 meetings for Lynn would his set up costs in this country be the same (pro rata) as doing 28 meetings ?
-
Phllip Rising managed to fill a good few pages every week. Surely a club can find something of interest to put one once a week. Even an update on what each rider has been up to. I read (Speedway Star) that Rory has offers his help to the Ben Fund meeting which of course is being held at Saddlebow.

My Dear Skidder, Some people dont use all forms of Social media. I always tend to head for the Website, as I consider that to be the Clubs all encompassing format. I see today they have finally told the fans about Troy's break, but didnt want to make this public until the full facts were known. Yet it seemed other Socila Media sites were were discussing the matter within Hours of it happening. Skidder you can defend it all you wish, but the facts are The Clubs commnication levels with the fans are poor. I am sure that will change when Buster wants people to hand over their 17 quid on a rainy Thursday night in April.
-
TellBoy is right. after all we are only customers. M&S dont tell you daily whats going on, oh hang on yes they do. Traders tend to keep their customers in the loop about things, they value your custom Fact is the PR at the Club is shot to pieces. I thought the guy Marc Gent was going to be a breath of fresh and take the Club forward in terms of PR. I am sure once the meetings come along we will get the normal old Hogwash in an attempt to get the Floating fan to hand over 17 notes ( unless it has gone up in price). Note to Buster.... This would have never happened in the days when you had your Boy in charge of things. I really Hope Buster does a better job as Chairman of the BSPA than he currently doing with his own club, if not I cant seem being in situ very long.

Lynn have never won the top League and going into their 51st year we probably still won't win it, but then again New you have to in it to win it. Lynn had a few years cleaning up in The Premier League. Peterborough have it all to do at that level. Mind you will get to enjoy the best race track in the Country at Alwarton, think plenty of away teams will enjoy it next season 😉

T Shirt ? Would have thought it was grandad shirts way back then
