Leicester V Kings Lynn On/off ?
semion replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What's the average this season ? -
You cast a little bread on the water, and those little fishes can't resist a nibble. 😂 It never fails
-
This one should be a done deal but with the Dorset Chokers one can never be sure. If Wolves overturn this then it has to be a bigger pull back than an Elephants foreskin 😀

The Club enjoyed some very successful days in The Prem, but in the end it went very stale. Fans were asking for Elite League Speedway ( me included) and got it. Now after a few years back in the Elite that now feels very stale. Riders coming in ( sometimes) doing their job ( sometimes) then off to the next gig. If things have gone stale then time to change it again. Buster, or rather his boy saw the writing on the wall and was quick to react. Will Buster be that quick this time ?

Kings Lynn V Lakeside 1st Sept 2016
semion replied to Hornsey's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think the expectation level is massive where Lambert is concerned. I guess people would have been looking at him as the 'New Michael Lee' I think this season has been one of steady if Unspectacular progress. I really thought this year he would be up sitting just below the big hitters ( NKI Doyles etc. Feel he is a little bit short of that. The Grand Prix Challenge at the weekend is a maybe good indicator of where is he in the swing of things. Certainly his gating leaves a bit to be desired. I would think he is a little disappointed to not even be a Number one in The Premier League, that riding for a track with a massive Home advantage. Maybe Next Year will be the Big break through year for Robert. He is still only a spring chicken so time is all on his side. -
Rather than Buster worrying about the make up of next years team he needs to get back to basics and sort out a track that will produce entertaining racing, and get it back to where it once was.

Kings Lynn V Lakeside 1st Sept 2016
semion replied to Hornsey's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thought Halsey was in at Reserve for Lakeside. Kennett never seems to do much at saddlebow so R/R should improve their chances. -
Hasn't he got a business in the UK called One Certainty ?

Lynn's Most successful spell in recent times was when Buster's boy was involved. Really don't understand why they cant kiss and make up and bring him back into the fold. After all Blood is thicker than water. The Worry is Buster has the future of British Speedway in his hands. Judging by the way he is running Lynn at the moment. I would be very afraid.

King's Lynn V The Wolves 25/08/16
semion replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Have to feel for Rory... Maybe the time is right. Big part of his game was gate and go, now he seems almost shy of making the gate as he may have to mix it on the first bend. Strange Meeting. Wilko beating the World Champion Max Clegg was the highlight, but seemed like Tai didn't fancy talking the risk of going past. Like Baggy has said there was no atmosphere in the place. Sad to hear of the guy who helped Buster prefer the track Its not all doom and Gloom, we might not have much of a team this season but Buster has bought a new tractor.... So every cloud and all that. -
I can see the punters flocking back. Full House signs going up throughout the Country an hour before tapes up. People running the sport keeping doing the same old thing yet they expect a different outcome.
-
SCB you do worry about rules a lot. Joke sport Joke rules. Yet you seem surprised when someone bends them. It's all a bit like re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic after it hit the Iceberg 😀

The one thing That Lynn use to have that is no longer the case is a top drawer racing circuit. Was no better place once upon a time ( Alwarton pushed it close. Sadly that is no longer the case. Under Huggy's guidance it was one hellva track, maybe the stadium was rather run down then, but I turned up then to watch the Speedway on the track not to stand and gaze at a new stand.

Rory always takes a while to get up to speed after a lay-off. He hardly had the chance to get back from his previous injury when he copped the last one. Think Rory is at the stage of his Speedway Life where he wont be taking any undo risks ( and why should he) so I feel it will be very much what you see is what you get.
-
Maybe he has taken his eye of the ball at Saddlebow to concentrate on the bigger picture. Maybe once he has sorted out Speedways massive problems he will flick the switch back on at Lynn and everything will be roses around the door. I won't hold my breath

No point Buster coming on the mic blowing smoke up people's deriere. Words are cheap, actions are what count.
-
GRW, as the saying goes You reap what you sow. No good Buster going in the press spouting rubbish about the fans not supporting him and the Sport. The Buck firmly stops with him. No one else.
-
I don't understand why fans keeping moaning about it. You know the answers to the questions. It all boils down to No one gives a 541t. Riders, its just another's day work at where ever. Owners/Promotions just cant be assed to do their job and promote the sport that is dying on its ass. Yet fans are supposed to care ? Do me a favour

Cos Lynn have an outside chance of a top 4 finish. It's never over till the fat lady sings as they say. Looking at the form of Swindon ( Humped at Wolves and losing a 'must win' at Home to The Aces last bnight) must give Buster and Rob hope. Lakeside getting dicked at home by a Poole select must also give Lynn a sniff at it. If Lynn can find a bit of form at the business end of the season then anything is possible.

King's Lynn V Swindon 20th July 7.30pm
semion replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The only one who seemed to know what was going was driving Tractor and other bits machinery round and round the track. Where were Rob and Dale the other so called Promoters ? Why weren't they attempting to give the fans some idea on what the hell was going on. Amateur sport at Professional prices -

It's Busters gig. He takes the rough with smooth. He was the one in the press, Radio website etc apologising to the fans not Mick Bates or any of the riders. He is the one putting on the show not the ref. if it hisses it down all day who is it that calls the meeting off. The home Promoter. It's his business. Next you guys will be saying it's the ref who calls off a Grand Prix when the weather is 541te -

No one can control the rain and for it to come at such a late stage gave little to no time to put things right. I, and I am sure many others would have excepted if the thing had been called off at 7.30. %hit happens. With x number of fans already paid through the turnstile Buster decided to go with it. What p155ed people off the most was all the hanging about. After I had paid and was walking toward the turnstile Nathan Holland came out to tell people there would be a delayed start and no parade. The delay just went on and on. It also seemed like Buster was the only person in the stadium who could drive any of the machinery. The first time the riders didn't like the look of the starting gate, so Buster goes out into the back straight car park and brings in a loads of fresh material to throw all over that. We get started, then the 3rd bend is the problem so he scrapes a lot of muck of that area with Rosco standing watch. So we start again, then its still no good and the whole track has to be bladed. Off we go again only for the riders and the ref to decide its no good and call it a day. All that took over 2 hours. Anyone know why Lambert had a hissy fit and destroyed the tapes ? So doesn't he know the rules or been made aware of them. Silly Boy. I wonder how much damage Buster has done to both Kings Lynn and the sport in general by those actions of last night. -

semion replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Buster should have cut his losses and called the thing off as soon as the rain came. It was obvious at 7.45 that the track was not fit to ride, let alone race on it. yet there queues at the turnstile's and still they were coming in. At least If they had called it off at 7.15 it would have stopped a lot of people going through the gate to then wait around for over 2 hours, for nothing. I never know these days who is in charge of a rain off. Ref , No he just does as he is told, and appears to have no control what so ever on such matters. Home Promoter, Of course he wants the meeting on, he stand to drop a few £K if its called off at a late stage Riders... Now that's where the real power now lies. If they don't want to ride then There is No show to put on. Riders today, and The top boys in particular are the ones now calling the shots in all areas of the Sport. No meeting for them at Lynn On Thursday, so they collect their expenses and off they go to the next Gig wherever that maybe in Europe. Years back riders would be keen to get out there and give it a go to earn their weekly wage. There wasn't a Poland, Sweden or Denmark to travel to for the next night. -

Since when is Buster the Team manager. I wonder how many times Delia has told any player at Norwich To F off ? http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03zr6c6#play Radio Norfolk Buster is around 2 hours 14 mins into the programme.
