Riders develop at different times. Some improve then plateau, only to then move on to the next level. For every Michael Lee there are far more Lewis Bridger's. Lambert has had the whole weight of Kings Lynn Stars loaded onto his shoulders after Holder/Batch Gate. Will moving from Lynn help ? Certainly for a rider who is not a consistent trapper the track served up at Lynn this season has done him few favours.

The same happened at The local Football club the Chapman's owned. What would you put the demise of Speedway at Lynn down to ? As a side issue are Cheryl's parents still working down at The Club ?

I thought he was neglecting JC long before he became Chairman. Which was cutting your nose off to spite your face as he was the one who made things tick at Saddlebow. Father needs Son, he just can't see it.

If Lambert missed the meeting because he couldn't be assed then maybe it's down to the powers that be who run (into the ground) Speedway. They don't seem to give a toss about the Sport, so why should the riders.

But they aint looking to get people to part with 17 quid + a week are they ?

Despite all of Lee's demon's, I still count myself fortunate to have seen the guy ride in his early days. Yes Terry Betts was Mr Lynn Speedway, maybe with better kit he could have gone even further, but Lee was the bums on seats star attraction. I always maintain the guy robbed me, robbed me of many years of enjoyment watching him. Still feel privileged to have seen him in his pomp. Never seen anything that good, at that age since.

It would be interesting to see the age demographics of Speedway fans. The Sport, as a Sport is one of the most exciting that there is. Sadly the marketing of it in general is cack. Other Sports have had a good hard look at themselves and made themselves appealing to new generation of Supporters, yet Speedway still turns up the same old stale format year after year. People from the outside see Speedway as a joke. Something that cannot be taken seriously. They aint wrong.

Waggy's days may have ended with big disappointment but the first 2 years he was there it was the most professionally run as I can recall at Lynn. The guy certainly ramped it up a level in terms of entertainment. Trouble was the likes of Crump were to expensive for what was coming through the gate and he had great difficulty in getting any form of Team Sponsorship because of the run down state of the stadium, at that time. Now I am not suggesting for one moment that if someone was to take it on that they would pay out well over the odd's for riders, but I am sure the 'show' could be much more appealing and more professionally run. I am not convinced Buster understands that concept or has it in his locker to allow someone else to make those changes with him still in situ. It would cost money, there lies the rub. Be interesting to hear JC's thoughts on that, and if he sees it the same way. It is simply not enough these days to put a few inches of BS in the local EDP throw open the gates, take people's money and offer poor VFM in return.

Danny, and Buster is going to allow some outside bod to tell him how to run his business.. Yeah Right!!! like that would ever happen.

With you on that one Way. The way I feel about Kings Lynn speedway I wouldn't care if I never set foot in the place again. That's a toughie because its been my summer Sport for more years than I care to mention. The worry has to be the guy who is charge of Kings Lynn Speedway is also the same person who is in control of British Speedway. Cause for concern or what ?

Then if Buster cannot work with anyone, he should look to franchise it out to someone who is prepared to run the thing properly and look to attract people back through the gate and not alienate the paying public as Buster appears to have done. Since JC left ( for whatever reasons and we can all 2nd guess at that) the thing has gone downhill, till now where it has sunk to the bottom. Riders and Fans have both suggested that someone should have a good hard look in the mirror at what they have done to Kings Lynn Speedway, and stop trying to pass the blame here there and everywhere. Most people in Speedway circles and those that follow it closely know actually whose door to lay the blame at. The same thing happened at the Football Club once JC left, until it was sold. Could it be History repeating itself ?

Maybe Buster should look at taking a partner on board. For example People are singing the praises of the guy Cleeve who purchased the Football Club off of Buster after he apparently left it in a pretty poor state. The guy Cleeve has an ex Premiership manager in place and the team are unbeaten this season with gates having doubled since Buster sold out. Obviously this guy at the Football Club knows a thing or 2 about Promoting Sport in Kings Lynn and could teach Buster a thing or two. I wonder if the guy would be interested in taking the whole thing over at Saddlebow with Buster stepping aside ? Will Buster do what is best for Keith Chapman or what is best for Kings Lynn Speedway ? as the last few years have been abject failure. No prizes for guessing the answer to that one.
