Josh, has not really been at this season, but is now finding some form. The 2 Reserves are questionably the best 2 in the League, but last night one might as well not have been there. Harris wasn't really pulling up any trees at Rye. Kutz, as we saw last night can have a stinker. Klint is ya ultimate gating tart, and is trap to line rider, but has his nights when he seems not to want to know. When they get to the play-offs, if they all perform on the night then they are home and hosed. That's how it looks to me from the outside. If however that inconsistent form raises its head at the wrong time, then it could end up being embarrassing. As the saying goes, its all theirs to lose. I am sure all true, honest Poole fans will see it exactly that way.

I have to jump to the defence of Poole. The racing was ok, not great, but certainly not as bad as people are making out. The worry for all other Clubs is that Poole rode last night without a number one or indeed one Reserve and still had enough in the tank to get home. Not many teams can ride 5 handed overcome a tac ride against them and still take the 3 points on offer against a team riding high in the League. Sorry guys but I really cannot see anyone stopping the Pirates march toward yet another title. Its all over bar the watching.

I'm glad the season doesn't run into deepest October..... Saddlebow is not the warmest place to stand out in around October time. Has its own micro climate there and always seems to be 5 degrees Cooler than anywhere else. As for the double header, It is what it is. Buster will be dropping a few quid to put it on. The Riders will be happy as they get 2 pay days in 4 hours. The fans get to watch 2 meetings for cheap money and only have to pay one lot of fuel, one lot of food, one programme. What's not to like ? Seems Like some people wanna moan for the sake of moaning. If the racing is good, what does it matter if its the same team twice ? Most people only go to watch the home riders anyway, so what does it matter who the opposition is ? Come on Guys, get a grip. How much is the entry ?

It’s all if and buts. Belle Vue wouldn’t hsve been able to run with a Tac Sub in 11 if heat one had gone as a 1-5 instead of a 2-4. Ok we got the rub of the green last night but these things have a habit of evening themselves out over the course of a season. Wait till we get Mick Bates again, I’m sure he would even things out for us.

Oilgate hey. Great win by Poole be a total shame if the fans are robbed of 3 points because of the actions of a track grader. Still if the points are deducted won’t really matter in the swing of things. Poole’s title there for the taking unless they do their usual Albert Pierrepoint impression when it really counts. Webbo we have all had our lariets pulled by promoters. Remember at Lynn where we paid 13 quid (or whatever) to watch a succession of engine failures orchistrated by the then Lynn Team manager in a failed attempt to get averages down to bring in a new rider. Expensive way of getting a meeting called off with all the riders and crowd in. Much better to have say a power failure the day before. For example. Or fake a heart attack, that’s always a good one
