When I think back to the Star studded line-ups from the 60s/70s onwards. Where did it all go so badly wrong ? Sad place to end up for what was once a great night’s entertainment.

Belle Vue have a tough job on against The Starship Neverwonaprize.
-
Little option for any club. Just have to take what ever is available and hope you strike lucky.
-
Maybe releasing Procter would be doing the lad a favour. He can’t enjoy being stuffed by development riders at Championship level let alone going up against No1’s at Premiership level. I know it’s been his career but he can’t even be earning a living with the points he’s scoring. Sometimes better for all to look at the bigger picture.

King's Lynn v Sheffield 17/6/21
semion replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
With Wolves not running, good time for Buster to nip in and grab Becker and Douglas. Just too help the two lads out by earning a few quid. -
For now

I would think it costs far more to run Speedway at Alwarton than Saddlebow. All income ( including stadium naming rights) at Saddlebow goes to Buster. Income at Alwarton must be much more limited. So would need much bigger gates at P’Boro. Yet strangely Panthers are top of The League whist the Stars are rooted at the bottom. Is one track subsiding the other ?
-
Seems very much like they got one team very much right and one team very much wrong. I would think Buster signed off on both teams even if he wasn’t directly involved in doing the donkey work in putting either side together.
-
Buster letting someone else run his club? .
-
Good to see Buster contributing by producing that track. Shame Masters didn’t turn up, as a neutral it would have made it that much more interesting. I noticed they didn’t send Abi Stephen’s to interview ‘Happy Adams’ this time.
-
Is that a guarantee or more in hope ? In theory if a rider was offered a full time position in the Championship would he be within his rights to take it ? I mean riders still have to earn and I guess they are self employed. Or in this case self unemployed
-
With Birmingham Parking their season and Johnson’s likely announcement tomorrow does this mean the riders are free to join other Clubs or simply take the lost income on the Chin ?

As a loyal follower of The Stars and someone with a deep understanding of the Sport, Trees. Where do you think the problem areas are ?

Spare capacity ? Has there been an increase in space available or just total lack of interest ? -

Peterborough with their team packed with ex Grand Prix riders should have to much for Lynn. 12-15 point home win -
What about Lynn’s go to man? It must be about time Rambo Lambo was recalled back into the fold Or shuffle Bridger/Procter over to Alwarton with Palm-Toft coming the other way.
-
Ippo lose their no 1. Buster puts his top man from yet another one his tracks to lead the fight. Fingers and Pies
-
I remember my first one after lockdown it didn’t touch the sides. . no wisecracks please
-
Buster was on a win win last night with him having a foot in each camp. Maybe suited him if it had been a narrow home win. Which was on the cards, I guess, till heat 15.

One swallow doesn’t make a summer.

Surprised to see Poole, despite dropping a level are still choking it. Is it the water or something far more deep rooted ? -
Never mind about looking at riders to blame the first port of call should be the man who put that 7 together. At what point, . Did whoever it was look at that team on paper and think it was anything but a wooden spoon line-up ?
