Big season this for Robert to have it end this early( if it goes that way) Grand Prix, chance to nick a place or at least make an impression for a Wild Card. Have to wonder with Tai certain to get one of the Wild Cards whether one will then be offered to another Brit. Also GP qualifiers will be missed. So that could be a massive set back. Chance to cement his future in the Polish League and the Clubs in Sweden to reevaluate Robert for next season. Big knock on affect to Kings Lynn as well. No such thing as a good time to get an injury but this seems a real bad time to cop one.

Who said Peterborough would never win anything this year under Buster ?
-
Will some wanna blame Buster for that ?
-
Average white band and ‘Let’s go round again’ or Steeleye Span. And ‘ All around my track’ or. ELO and ‘Holder on tight to your dreams’ or Cliffy Richard with ‘Batchelor Boy’

I hear Buster has music on full blast in the cab of his tractor when going round and round and round. I’m plumping for Ole Blue Eyes and ‘My Way’ Followed by.....?

Not so much a sacking, more a change of work place for the same employer -
Agree Man, maybe an experienced campaigner thought he could do something the others couldn’t. Buster’s boy JC was really into it at Saddlebow and had some decent fresh ideas. Fall out is the word I think you may use.

No dispute about the success they enjoyed Scobs, more people seem to have a few years then pass it on. That to me says it’s a struggle to make it pay.

I guess that generation ( yep I’m in that group). Will always harp back to the ‘Good old days’ 13 heats, 2nd half Junior races, rider of the night. 3 genuine heat leaders in every team ( 17 teams as I recall). Big Crowds. Characters in the Sport who in the main stayed loyal to a Club. Riders the fans could identify with etc etc. Sadly those days are gone, so it might be difficult to get a true feeling for what’s needed from this generation. It perhaps needs a younger person’s input where all (some) modern technology can be embraced and utilised in today globe trotting Speedway World. -
Buster has been in control at Lynn for several years. Ipswich has been in the hands of the Louis also for several years. How many owners have come and gone at Alwarton in say the last 20 years. Must tell it’s own story on how viable the place is for Speedway

Forty, your survey makes some interesting points. The poll that was undertaking, can I ask over how many different tracks and how many people from each ? Seems to me if a lot were mentioning 13 heat Speedway, second half junior races etc then those surveyed seem in the main to be 60 plus (?). If they are still turning out at that age then I would suggest they are ya real die hard fans and not able to give a true indication of what the Sport needsin the year 2020 and onwards. -
I very much doubt that

Surely Peterborough fans must be thanking Buster for moving Harris out to Ipswich, looking at his current form. Watching him in SON sums up where he is at now. Have to wonder now if his days are done.

Sounds like you may have all the answers ( or at least some of them) to the Sports numerous problems. Be interesting to hear -
Like Shovvy says Josh is only a 2nd strong. Really thought in his early years he would go on to become a star attraction. Seems he has found his level. Maybe going to Poole has hampered his progress.

Fair play to Barry n the IOW. Thats how to make fans feel valued. -
Maybe Josh has had his purple patch and reverting back to his true form, ala the first half of last season ?

Forty, I would suggest ‘ my generation’ are the ones with a decent expendable income, so would it not make sense to attract us ? The younger generation have so many other interests and, to me would be a much harder audience to entice. As for fiver Speedway with World Champion’s on display, that does sound somewhat of a tongue in cheek and throw away comment. For me personally I don’t want something for nothing, but will not accept nothing for something. -

Forty it’s sad when any track closes, for whatever reason. Sadly the ‘Sport’ is now well outdated and had its day, in its present form in this Country. Can it be saved ? Jury’s out, I would suggest. -

You can get 2 people who go to the same meeting who will see it completely different. Its not a definitive science. Different strokes for different folks. There are people who post on here who give an honest appraisal of a meeting. What’s wrong with forming an opinion based on that ? -

Same for me, moved out to The Broads and now can’t really be assed to take the 3 hour round trip to watch the ‘entertainment’ on offer. There was a time I would have gone watched every week without fail. Times and attitudes change. -
Really ? I hadn’t noticed.
